I lived in hostel for a whole year and can sum up the pros and cons with personal experience : Pros: 1. You get to know many people. 2. Ragging free campus. 3. Interactive and cool seniors. 4. Perfect infrastructure. 5. Quick complaint respose. 6. Discipline. 7. Home like experience. 8. Free gym 9. In the same campus as the college. 10. Many! Cons: 1. You'll get bored of food, in the start it's tasty, but with time it'll get oily and boring. 2. Repetitive menu list. 3. Sometimes you'll find the discipline rules illogical. 4. No cooking allowed yet. 5. No electrical appliances (iron, immersion rod, induction) allowed. You'll be fined and the appliance will be taken away. 6. You get food 3 times, that means no evening snacks. You get breakfast 7:30-9:30 , lunch 12:00-2:30 and lunch 7:30-9, how a person won't feel hungry after his college? Evening snacks is important. 7. Costly! If you are okay with the Cons, it's a great place. Good facilities. Hope I helped.
R-1 boys hostel is not a hostel basically, it;s a stable for horses. Four persons in each room, it feels like living in a stable with three others mates. You don't have any sort of privacy of your own. You can't be in solace, you can't have quality time with yourself. Due to congested place for living you can't be productive in your works. Although rooms are having attached lat-bath, Good furnished, adequate facilities, CERTAINLY good food, but LACK of freedom.

It is well mentioned hostel then the other great room daily cleaning by hostel workers and also providing good quality food then other many hostels.
