It serves nice kulcha/naan ...it's quite fulfilling meal,but the chole was not tasty and was in less quantity also. Overall it was an average place.

Jamadaar di haveli is not any cafe . it's just a market . this place is famous because of a kulcha shop here "darshan lal kulche Wala". you can have a mouth watering, spicy, buttery kulcha here only. u will not find kulcha like this in whole Amritsar. Place is just at 10 minute walking distance from golden temple. Just go through the lanes asking from the people about " haweli jamadaar " chaurasti attari. Must try .if you visit Amritsar.
Good but not best. Shop is at very tight place. You can reach easily on two wheeler.
This is a historical place.A haveli(Mansion) used to exixt in this area relating to era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh king of Punjab.The haveli collapsed in seventies.It was built on a high plateform..The entrance had a slop on one side of entrance and stairs on other side.On the top floor there was a room in which roof was studded with motors known as Sheesh Mahal.The haveli was a haunted place.I as a child feared to enter in the evening.During day times boys would go there to play and kite flying.The primary wing of BKE girl school was run in this haveli till it collapsed. Now a market has been built in this area.Majority of shops are owned by Goldsmiths.This market has a very famous Kulcha shop.people come here to eat it from far of places. The area has another landmark temple known asThakardwara of Raja Teja Singh.He was one of the nobles in the court of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.The dome of the temple is conical.The temple also houses a gym and wrestling area and community bath.Beside this the area has a Jain Mandir.Malviya aurvedic hospital and Amritsar SewaSamiti.hospital and path lab.Both the hospitals are charitable and are performing yeoman,s service.There is also headoffice of Sanatan Dharm sabha which performs volunteer services during public functions ,melas and procession or first. Aid,cold water, traffic management etc. This area used to house a school known as paandhey ka school.Here children were taught local business language known as LANDAY..The language had no grammer and it was a code language.This language was said to be precedesor of gurumukhi dialect. A school known as Arun Rashmi Sainik school still exixt in this area.
Came here after 22years. I'm overwhelmed with the same taste they serving since 30years. A must visit place in Amritsar. Darshan Lal, Jamadar ki Haveli, Batti Hatta Chowk.
It's famous for kulcha , but I think quantity matter more than quality here. Not a good place if u don't like spicy food
