PWD rest house chengannur - Hotel in Chengannur Part - Alappuzha, India

We stayed as a team at this PWD rest house and had a great experience. A good initiative from the government at the most affordable rates. Well maintained rooms. The booking can only be done through their website and might be the only thing complicated about the place. Recommended.

Non AC room costs Rs 400, and AC room at Rs 800. The rooms are all big and it's all maintained to the best. It would be better if proper advertising is given and this will be a rush place.

Good location, nice and peaceful ambiance. But very poor facilities. Poor communication and courtesy, No toiletries, not even soap. No blankets, even in AC room. No towels.

A good place to have quick break Didn't stay ovenight. But used twice for a 2-3 hour break a very effective, safe and economic. Online booking thru govt site is very easy and reliable

It was the first time at a PWD Rest House. I was totally impressed! Wow, what an amazing rest house! The ambience and the surroundings are so beautiful and quiet. Very neat and clean and spacious room at a really cheap rate. Online booking is available and I encourage people to try availability at PWD Rest House before trying the other hotels.

Only negative is that they hace no canteen, not even drinking water at the premises Rooms are superb with the pricing Calm b quiet place.. Hardly 20metres from NH

It was a very nice stay at PWD Rest House Chenganur. I booked through PWD Rest House Booking System by Kerala Government. I got the room for Rs. 400. LDF Government started the room booking system in 2021 November. Minister Shri. Mohammed Riyas, in accordance with the LDF decision, decided that, PWD Rest Houses which have numerous number of rooms can be rented to general public in a cheap rate and thus the government and general public will mutually benefit. However it is a very good decision for travellers like me who travel on budgets. Coming to the room : Very spacious room, very nice bed , Very nice toilet and bathrooms. If government is reading this review, I have a request, please don't change check in checkout time to 12 Noon. Please keep it as 24 Hours. Usually I check in at evening and checkout in evening. So one day I can be there at the destination to do the job. For a budget traveller like me, it is difficult to pay for one extra day for a safer stay. Hope government will understand it.
