Great and relaxing place. I have been going here for many years now and they have always maintained it well. The east side has less plants as people leave there, but still all decent and friendly to walk. It is great at sunset timings.
This is a small and well maintained lake in JP Nagar. We visited with our baby on a Sunday evening. The area is clean, beautiful plants and tree's around. One best thing Is anyone can adopt a big tree and help in the tree's maintenance. There are lots of birds in the vicinity. Good place for an evening stroll.
The lake has been transformed by citizen movement by PNLT from almost extinct to flourishing with life in all forms. Thanks to initiatives we have very rare native trees and plants being planted and nurtured.Because of all this we can see a healthy population of migratory birds.
A Beautiful small lake, adequately maintained, a good walkway for a stroll/jog, water seems clean. A good number of birds are around, So, if interested in clicking them, definitely a good place for Bird Photography amidst Bengaluru. Some parts of the lake still require some more maintenance work. Not too crowded as Sankey or Halasuru Lake for walks in the evening. No entry fee. No Restrictions on photography. A very small parking space, only for two wheelers.
Puttenahalli lake is a small, restored freshwater lake located in JP Nagar 7th Phase, South Bangalore. The area of the lake is about 13 acres. The primary water sources are rain and surface water diverted to the lake through channels.this is taken from Wikipedia....
Visited place few days back in the afternoon after 4. It was Wonderful experience. Well maintained walkway, trees. Area was clean. Water was clean. Could observe different birds to my surprise. Calm and quite place. Saw some stray dogs but was not a problem. Some workers were cleaning and working. One thing I could not understand is presence of houses. Overall nice place to visit and walks.
Very beautiful lake and one round of the lake comes to about 2.5 km. The walkway around the lake is not that great. We went on the next day after it rained and there was too much water and mud but we did enjoy the sunset. It is very close to main road. 2 wheeler parking is easy to find. A bit difficult for 4 wheelers.
Nice lake in puttenahalli place but this is small lake with well maintained
