Puthuma hotel in alathur is famous for their porotta and mutton chops..... Mutton chops are available only in the morning. Another famous item is their beef fry, Which is available throughout the day. In recent years the quality of their dishes are diminishing. Nobody is speaking good of it. Today i had an experience, My friends and I went there to have porotta and beef, There were only four tables with four chairs each, when we reached there 3 of them were accommodated. One was vacant and we sat there. Wait for sometime and we got one porotta each. Then we had to wait for around half an hour to get another porotta. They are not having any kind of rush and still they can't serve the food timely. Our patience was getting lost.

A small tea shop which can hardly accomodate 16 people at a time. Beef fry and curry are the specialities here which satisfy your taste buds. Morning mutton is also available. Chicken lovers please excuse, as they don't serve any chicken dishes. Their poratta is extremly good. Evening by 7 beef dishes will be over and after that they serve egg curry and veg curry. Overall very good.

Porotta is available right from morning. Beef curry is average but mutton curry is amazing.

The most popular hotel in Alathur. Famous for porotta and beef roast. This is a very small hotel and is usually crowded. Parking is very limited, so better to park elsewhere and walk to this hotel if you come by car. For bikes, I would say one or two can be parked infront of hotel. Overall it's very limited. So better to take parcel. I had porotta, noolputtu and beef curry. All were really tasty and the beef is so soft and well cooked. They also have other items like pathiri which will be available early morning. Beef roast is available only after 11 mostly. So if you plan to have their signature dish better visit the hotel during lunch time. Also they have mutton roast and mutton curry as well. Overall a good experience and will definitely visit again to try beef roast. They accept UPI payments as well which is a plus.

Whenever i visit Alathur, I'll make sure my vist to Puthuma Hotel Update: Recent days their beef is not upto the mark, disappointed with half boiled beef :( ( Reducing 2 stars )

Pathiri with mutton chops.. tasty, affordable and authentic.. totally worth it.

Awsome experience with delicious food especially their mutton chops which only available from 8 to 10 am

All curries has watery taste , very unhygienic Just it was a waste How they got 4 stars in google
