When you enter panchgani, there are may restaurants which are veg-non-veg mix. This is first of its veg restaurant which come up and hence located very strategically.
The food was good and the quantity was also sufficient.
The service was fast. The waiters could be much more responsive but don't expect that here.
Its open area sitting which actually gives a good feel.
The wash basin is outside but there is no toilets/wash rooms.
This is one big negative as mostly people travelling on their way to Mahabaleshwar would stop here and wash room is required.
Parking is limited and there is a charge for parking that needs to be paid.
We ordered dal khichdi for our toddler and mutter paneer, roti, jeera rice , dal tadka , manchow soup and strawberry milkshake for us.
Dal tadka and jeera rice was simply yummy... My toddler loved the dal too... Mutter paneer was nice but could have been better, same with milkshake. Hence giving one star less.
Parking space is good. Also, their service is super quick.
I must also appreciate that they have maintained the standards. Last time I visited a few years back and the taste and quality is still the same now, which is nice.
I had lunch at this place... tried North Indian cuisine... they have variety of cuisines... later on learned that South Indian food is better ...
Also hygiene wise this place is not very good... there were flies... and even on requesting the staff to tilt the fan so that we could get rid of the flies the staff didn't help... and asked us to shift from the table to another table...
So overall will not say it is a must visit place but... you can give it a try if you love South Indian food and sit in front of fan...
Okay okay food, good service, ample parking space and few kittens on the road to play with.
Anyway should have tried another restaurant.
We had a chance to visit purohit's namaste via returning from mahabaleshwar to Mumbai.
After craving for South Indian delicacies for a couple of days finally we got a chance.
We ordered the Butter sada and the masala dosa.
Both were quite above average and tasted good.
Sambhar and chutneys here a bit different the mumbai taste.
Next we ordered the misal pav and it was just amazing.
The perfect blend of taste and they offer free Tarri too.
We had also tried the panner Paratha( jain)
Was nicely made with generous amounts of panner.
We had a decent experience here.
Surely a must visit for people passing by.
Nice welcoming nature including the staff and the owner...
Being situated in village, a very nice interior and hygiene maintained.
Speaking about the food
Day 1 - we tried Masala dosa and schezwan fried rice.
Both had a great taste..
Speaking about the rice they had a good quantity with a great taste.
They gave an sauce option in a cup so that you can eat according to your own.
Masala dosa had a sizzling taste with a large size. A good crisp with tempting chutney...
Day 2
We had a namaste special pizza which was really different then a regular pizza and we enjoyed it.
kolapuri sabji with roti
It was amazing in taste
Day 3
Onion uttappa- very large in size with a amazing taste as its required
Manchao soup good quantity with a good taste
Worst food ever! I ordered paneer chilli & Allu paratha ... paneer was so burned and rubbery that is was so hard to chew. Staff was so rude when I complained but they replaced with fries as it was ordered for my 5 yrs old son but the fries was loaded with red chilli pepper so my son could not have it. Let's come to Allu paratha, when it came I realised it was stuffed batura and loaded with oil
One of the worst experiences ever.
Only Punjabi and Chinese cuisine was available instead of full menu when we reached the hotel and placed order at 7.45 p.m.
Also, Jain options in Punjabi were limited to three dishes only. Although they clarified it in the beginning itself.
But it took ages for ordered food to be served and quality was below average.
The Paneer in paneer chilly dry seemed hard n too chewy instead of being soft.
Also, they mixed up orders and repeated rotis
All in all a forgettable and absolutely non-recommendable experience
