It is not in operational condition till now .The access road for this place from Purnia to airport is in very bad condition. It may be operation within 6 -8 month. But frequency of flight may be less to compare other airport because two airports is nearby it. One is bagdogra and other is Patna . Recently deoghar airport also became operational nearby it.

I am very excited to travel from Delhi to Purnea. But it will start as soon as possible in the year March 2023. Purnea airport is very big airport in Bihar. I have seen.

As I am living inside campus of air force station purnea since 2017 as an air force personnel the work of air port is still running 24 hour and it will get ready in coming 3-4 years Airport has not started publically as i live inside i know that the runway is very big and i had seen fighter jets landing on the runway so no Need to worry work is going on
