Puri Beach Main - Tourist attraction in Puri - Puri, India

It is the public beach ( not blue flag beach). You can reach here easily from puri bus stand or puri station by auto and electronic vehicles. It remains most crowded in the weekend and weekdays also. There is NO entry fees .There are so many food stalls, seashells and local craft products, juice sellers nearby. Camel rides also available for Rs 100. Very happening and crowded place. It is open 24x7 as there is no maintenance or privatisation. There are many hotels 50 mtrs away from the beach with clear beach view. Cons : - This beach is not clean at all. If you want a cleaner place must go to golden Beach. - No facility for changing or shower room - This is not recommended if you are in search of calm and peaceful beach. Due to crowd and no. of food stalls the place is chaotic. - No cosy sitting place, only plastic chairs are there.

From Puri Jagannath temple, we came here on a Rickshaw and came to know a lot by means of spiritual stories by the driver. By the time we reached we found a celebration type atmosphere over there. Spent some pleasant time over there. Hotels and rooms facing the beach are also available here. Very near to cloth market as well as to the ISKCON Temple, Puri. Wondered knowing about Gurunanak ji's visit here and well (sweet water) near the beach but unfortunately we could not able to find it
