Pura Vida - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Well I dont have anything to share about the stay at this place since I haven't stayed here. The only concern about me is the way my equiries where handled by person designated for queries on social media/ contact numbers I simply enquired about the stay and availability through Instagram and they just asked for the dates and no replies then on. I tried enquiring through whatsapp and calls and they took forever to reply. After so much of delay in response all I got to know that the property is under maintenance and aren't taking any bookings as of now. Atleast have the courtesy to give correct information rather than wasting time of people.

This place is the best one in town. It is located on the cliff and has access to private beach. The in house restaurant is too good. Unlike some parts of varkala where they use coconut oil to cook, this restaurant portly uses cooking oil. The staff are very friendly. It is a very calm. Would want to visit again

Great view from the property as its on varkala cliff and way to calm private beach far from crowd. Food can be improved a lot as its too much average for such a good property.

The rooms were neat enough but still had a very 'indian home' feeling. So doesn't feel like you are on a getaway, more like staying at an aunt's place. Service had a similar feeling where you are trying to explain what you want to the friendly maid who doesn't speak the language. Not many amenities, but good wifi at the restaurant. Affordable place to stay for a day or 2.

One of the best resorts on south cliff. Amazing location of the resort. The food provided here is great. Since there weren't many affordable options around, we mostly used to eat here and have tea. Lemon tea is recommended. The cooking staff is also very accommodating and great people. Resort manager Vishnu was super helpful with respect to rentals and other information. The rooms were clean and big. Our stay was very comfortable. The outside green area is also really nice to relax with family and play some games. There is a private beach stair entrance near the cliff that goes down to beach. A beautiful place to watch sunset and have lemon tea. Overall we had amazing stay. Would highly recommend this resort.

We loved our stay at this property. It has a lot of open space which is we'll maintained. Gives a great view of the Arabian sea from the cliff. Quiet and peaceful to watch the sunset. You will have to climb down 3-4 flights of stairs to get to the beach. Rooms are decent but well maintained. Hiked prices after Covid but still worth it.

The hotel resort is beautiful and we feel very comfortable here! The rooms have a good size, though the furniture is a bit basic, which isn't bothering us. We have a great view of the ocean and the beach can be reached via stairs. The hotel manager is very helpful with our request, other staff are equally friendly! The food and delicious fresh juice at the hotel bar is good, we have our lunch there every day.

Bliss on a Cliff! Rooms are extremely spacious, well furnished, thoughtfully installed blinds, balcony space, Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toiletries. The view is amazing, with lot of open space to sit around. Convenient stairs to access the beach. The in house restaurant is also great. I also loved the book collection housed by the reception. They can open more amenities like games room, spa etc., which will be useful. Wifi speed can be improved.
