The Union Territory of Puducherry comprises of the erstwhile French colonies viz. Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. The Puducherry and Karaikal regions are surrounded by the State of Tamilnadu, whereas Mahe is surrounded by the State of Kerala and Yanam by the state of Andra Pradesh.

There are very few beaches which is so well maintained and armed with amenities. There are two ways to reach the beach, one is through the roadways and it will lead you to the free beach. However the other way is most recommended, you need to buy tickets for Rs.200/- per person and a boat will take you to the secluded part of the beach through the beautiful backwaters. It has shacks and proper seating and relaxing place. Completely secured and good for families.

This place is very beautiful. This place is situated near Bay Of Bengal sea. This is also a SUNRISE and SUNSET view point. I suggest to you all, visit this place at least once. The most suitable time to visit here is Jan-Feb-March. In this time, the temperature is most beautiful. You can enjoy with your family or relatives and friends in the Beach.

Splendid View!!! The cleanliness,calmness and vastness at its best. Took a boathouse from the Chunabar Boat House which gave nice view and let us enjoy the cool breeze on the way to beach.The private section of the beach for those who come by boat to visit is there.It offers rain dance area,beach football,volleyball and vast area to sit and relax. Got the best photographs of beach and sunset views.Have many benches to sit and enjoy if you don't want to go near sea. Got an hour to stay there but can spend entire day.

It was so beautiful. I loved it. But please do carry your clothes if you want to enjoy the beach. They have changing and shower rooms there. So, Its quite convenient.

Visited last weekend for the 5th time and this time it's well developed as a tourist spot where you can enjoy bathing playing in the beach with the boating from the mainland to the island. The entry fees and parking is Rs10 and boat up and down to island is Rs200 per head. There is an estuary which joins the sea and has formed the paradise beach. Beach is very clean. Thanks to that as very less beaches in india are clean. There are facilities for parking, food, toilet, boat house, speed boating, after beach bath rest rooms for normal water shower. However the showers kept outside needs tiles on the floor and drainage rather than sand because the water gets absorbed then and there where you bath. You can have multiple games like rain dance, bungy for kids, speed boating, long boating. There is a stall for snacks and Liquor in the island and it's quite costly than the market price. It's a nice and clean beach, with certain activities like ATV, rain dance, etc. At the time when I went, there was no surfing or anything. The tides are nice, and there are life guards. There is a place to eat, as well. Ferry must be taken to visit the beach. Crowded on weekends, and open till 5:30ish

Its a nice beach to hangout with friends, family and even if you are all alone.... It really provides you with a great beach experience with rain dance, beach restaurants serving sea food and a great sea infront of you to have a nice time. Enjoy the house boat service available on booking.
