P's Homestay Nainital - Stay with a Kumaoni Family in a Heritage Homestay with Lake View (Prashant's Homestay Nainital) - Home Stay in Nainital - Kumaon, India

We had a very bad experience with Prashant hotel i n Nainital. They keep a commision agent on the Street to attract customers, the C.A told us that there was free pick and drop services, 24/7 wifi, good rooms, and gave us lots of fake promises, he also told us that the room was for 3k so we agreed to check the rooms, but when we went and saw the rooms, we liked it at the time and we went to the manager for payment he quoted us 3.5k, when we told him that the C.A told us 3k he said they just say anything to get commision, so then we had to pay 3.5k because we weren't getting rooms anywhere. We checked in around 12:30/1:00pm and we wanted to roam around Mall Road, so we contacted the driver who was doing the pick and drops, and he told us that we don't do pick still we spoke to him for like 10 minutes and told him what the C.A told us then somehow he agreed and he dropped us, when returning he wouldn't answer our calls only and when finally he answered he's like I want come so far where we were he will only pick us up from where he dropped us so we had to walk all the way to reach where he dropped us. Later at night, the light switches of the room were outside and they switched it off from outside we thought that the electricity went off so we had to use the washrooms without light with our flashlights and later in the morning we found out that somebody has switched off the light button from outside. They din't even provide any toiletries nor did they're rooms have heaters, there was no hot water coming from the taps as well, they said hot water comes only in the morning from 7-11 but when we opened the tap around 9ish there was no hot water because somebody from their staff switched off the light button from outside, and the wifi range was barely connecting in the room, they din't even provide kettles we had to asked them, then they gave us. They did not have free breakfast as well which In Almost every hotels provide complimentary. They charged us 3.5k for just a room with a joint bathroom that's it. Their windows were see through and anybody could peep inside our windows and the windows dint even have latches. Overall a very horrible experience would not recommend anyone.

Amazing ppl, location, stay & food. Absolutely worth it. Prashant helps with solving the missing gaps in your itinerary by sharing contacts of cabs, rentals, etc. Alaways prompt to respond & clear. Food prepared is just delicious. And location is really beautiful. Cabs can not go to last 300mts stretch that prashant communicates at the get go. Bike taxis are available if you dont feel like walking that stretch. Absolutely recommend this place for good views, food & hospitality.

Had such a wonderful time that I extended my stay. Breath taking views, extremely accommodating and friendly hosts, delicious food in an area of outstanding beautify. The room was delightful. Comfortable and quiet ....I had the most blissful sleep.

We had a great room for 3 days. We struggled a bit to find a decent place in Nainital, but we're glad we found this place. Communication was very good/fast and we got to know more about the history of nainital and recommendations to have food. a bit away from the main road, so the sound of horns gets reduced a lot. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to nainital.

You did not pick up my 20 calls yesterday 16.6.23. Maybe you have given my reserved room to someone else at a higher tariff. Very un professional. Will never recommend your homestay to anyone.

Simple and cosy room. Prashant pretty much ensured everything was comfortable and gave good advice. I liked the thrilling bike ride to reach to his place. By foot it will really test your strength
