It's a 900+ capacity seating Auditorium run by the local government authorities. The place has been recently renovated and has the best in class audio and lights system in place. The auditorium is totally air conditioned/ AC and gives you the comfort of cozy chairs to enjoy the event. Many famous Marathi and Hindi Dramas have been staged here. The bonus is the art and the coins gallery in the basement. There is a cafeteria that has been recently opened that has the basic of food stuffs one would need and is hygenic too. The hall is located in Priyadarshi Chowk or Pani ki Tanki ( which is a famous landmark) and is well connect.
Now its renewed, beautiful exterior and interior, comfortable sitting arrangement, improved sound quality. Its very good experience for enjoying a play. Also Orchestra or musical programs. Can be easily located in traffic. Parking facility available here. Also if want some food or snake the Swad sweetmart is on walking distance
If you don't know where this place is just follow Google maps. Still is near 'pani ki tanki'. Folk's language. Seating arrangement is good. The aisle is wide enough. The lighting arrangements on stage is good as well as on the audience seating area. Air conditioning is available and fans are mounted on side walls. I feel acoustics need little improvement here. Sitting on last seats I couldn't enjoy the plays because I couldn't clearly understand what characters were saying. Speakers are mounted in front side. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. This is a really good hall for events and shows. Many Events like fashion show, school and college annual day have been organized here. The hall also consist of a Museum. Thos Museum consist of old coins, and mohars of The Gondwana King. The museum is even used for Exhibitions too.
Fantastic interior and awsome ambiance. It is single piece of its kind situated in the heart of Chandrapur city. You can have a complete feel of every program running on the satge. Sound system is also good. Lightings are perfectly arranged and can be used as the need of program.
