This place is a paradise! A quaint villa located few steps away from the beach. The place is thoughtfully done. The owner of the property is based out of Cochin but is 24x7 available on the phone and is certain that your stay is good. The place has three care takers so you don't need to be bothered about cleaning , breakfast etc.
The villa also has a gorgeous deck/a patio overlooking the beach. We spend our evening watching the sunset

I have no words to describe this place. The love and care you feel when you're here is beyond pleasure. The owners of this property are the sweetest people i've ever met. There are two caretakers and they are the best. They won't disturb you or invade your privacy and you'll feel safe with them. They provide you privacy by leaving the premises at 8 pm (They'll be there to cook you food and to help you) and there are so many residents and resorts nearby so you need not worry about anything, Just go there and experience the peace and beauty the villa provides. My Happy Place. Must Visit in your lifetime.
Name defines it all...An exact place for relaxation and peace
Privasea in Varkala is a gem and boasts of a terrific view overlooking the sea. Rooms are thoughtfully done and very clean. The villa in itself is a destination and we did not move out of the villa during our two day stay except for short evening walks. The staff (Sujeet and Tariq) are very courteous and take good care of guests. Sujeet is an amazing chef and we relished all his dishes particularly Chatting Choru. Big shout out to Mr.Benny for being in constant touch to know of any requirements.
Staying at Privasea, Varkala was an absolute treat to the eyes and soul! As a frequent visitor to varkala, this is my best experience there - an exquisite villa all to yourself, with the ocean at its doorstep and tasty Kerala dishes served on the garden or terrace! Staying at Privasea was one of the most delightful experience my husband and I had during our trip to Kerala.
Staring from the absolutely amazing location, to the beautiful house, the well manicured garden and the superb service. Everything about that place is perfect!
The house is perched on a cliff off Edava beach and you can see the sea and hear the waves from the comfort of the house. And it is almost always nice and windy there.
The house seems to be made with a lot of love and thought. There is a sunbed, a hammock, cane chairs in the garden and we spent most of time outside, just reading books, listening to the waves and enjoying the breeze. Even the cute little dining area in the garden overlooks the sea. And at night, Jobin, the caretaker, switches on these fairy lights and the garden lights up in a beautiful yellow glow.
Even the service was top notch. Benny, the owner, was always available for anything we needed. He was nice enough to accommodate an early check in. He kept checking with us if we were comfortable and if there was anything that could be done to make our stay better. He even provided us with a two wheeler for us to visit nearby places. Plus Jobin made superb food, mocktails, coffee for us and served them all with a big smile. At one point during our stay, we were sitting by the cliff, enjoying the sunset and Jobin surprised us by bringing a table laden with coffee and biscuits right up to the cliff! It was these small touches in their service and in the house that made a lot of difference.
And since the house is away from the crowded areas, so it really feels like you have that whole place just to yourself. So it is literally privacy by the sea!
We had a hard time leaving the place on the last day. And needless to say, each time we plan to visit Varkala, we will make sure we stay at Privasea!
The property needs pest control. A frog jumped out of the toilet seat and a house lizard ate a mid sized spider on the wall adjoining the bed.
The entrance needs more lighting.
The breakfast was very basic. The bread that was served had fungus. Frooti is not a breakfast drink.
It is a task to communicate with the caretaker/watch man due to language constraints.
The property is serene, and has a good vibe to it. Loved the terrace seating. Stupendous sunset and sea views.
But with the amount of money charged, the owner should really put efforts into making the stay worthy.
Privasea is beyond anything I can imagine. The perfect place for any Honeymooners. It's just a villa surrounded by the sea with a butler to take care of your every need and that's it. There's no one else around to disturb you which makes it so unique. It's just heaven on Earth and in all my years of travel, we've never found any place like this. Let's not forget the amazing food, the wonderfully curated compound and interiors.
