I'm eating here since 18 years the ambience is same. Food used to be very good especially sizzlers but now not as expected, very basic taste. Menu has not upgraded. Cost has increased drastically for a group of 6 it will cost 2000+ rupees. Not highly recommended.
This restaurant got us in a pleasant surprise, amazingly polite staff and equally great food. Will surely come back here next time.... Very satisfied.
I had ordered tomato soup and hyderabadi biriyani , tomato soup was good but biriyani was too much spicy , couldn't able to eat it without drinking lots of water in between. They don't even ask for spice level , they simply put more than needed.
Prithvi Veg Restaurant is one of the fairly good vegetarian hotels in and around Tumakuru. The hotel food serves both Indian and Chinese style foods. Services are slightly slow and need to improve. The infrastructure of the restaurant is quite cool with a medium ranged cubicle type arrangements and the food stuffs are OK in terms of taste. Both cash and UPI options available. Parking shall be on road side only. Few food items cost can be reduced since it looks high.
Let me start with the list of items we ordered: Garlic soup: 5/5 very unique taste. Not had this anywhere before. Tomato soup: 4/5 tasted different from many other places. It's not just colored and powdered hot water. Could taste fresh tomatoes. Gobi Chilli: 4/5 the masala was very much apt. Onion pakoda: 4/5 crispy, rightly fried Paneer 65: 5/5 one of the best. A proper 65 dish. Paneer was prepared by them and was super fresh. Butter Roti: 4/5 Paneer sizzler: 4/5 Paneer curry prepared like a sizzler. Tasted well. Fresh Lime soda: 4.5/5 had ordered sweet and salt. Both the flavors were apt. Ambience: 4.5/5 they have maintained exactly the same ambience they have had for decades and that's the best part. Cleanliness: 3.5/5 though they have replaced plates with banana leaves, overall cleanliness has to be better maintained. Need better cleaning of the floor and table, better way of picking the used leaves to ensure nothing drips out of it. We have been here umpteenth times and not even a single time we were disappointed. Overall: 4.5/5
