Primary Health Center - Hospital in Candolim - North Goa, India

Primary Health Centre Candolim is a bedded Government Primary Health care available 24x7. Staff are very nice and cooperative. It has all different types of medical system apart from Allopathic (Modern Medicine), they also have Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Dental, Dietician. Allopathic OPD is from Monday to Saturday 9:30 to 12:30 and then Monday to Friday 14:30 to 15:30. Apart from that there is Emergency (Casualty) services available 24x7 in case of utmost emergency. Being bedded there are 6 male and 6 female beds in ward. And an observation room. They also have daily dressing from 9 to 12 Monday to Saturday. They have their own Government Pharmacy where essential medicines are provided free of cost. But it requires Registration and Pharmacy timing are 9 to 430. They also have blood investigations laboratory. For important blood tests, like sugars, cbc, lipids etc. Being a bedded PHC they support Tricog ECG and thrombolyse in case of MI to save maximum people of MI. At times due to emergency and only one Dr may lead to delay in seeing regular patients. But emergency are seen on priorities.

I went there after a dog bite as a tourist. The staff including the watchman was so courteous and helpful. God bless the watchman bhaiyya. The doctor was nice and nurse ma'am was also kind and supportive. I had a very good experience here and my issue was very nicely and promptly dealt with. As compared to govt health centres in UP where there are no vaccines for such a primary cause

First of all, a big THANK YOU for seeing me as I was very unwell when I was taken to this place with my daughter in the middle of the night by the owner of the guesthouse where we were staying. I was severely dehydrated following food poisoning and I was seen promptly by a Nurse and Doctor, given an intramuscular injection and IV drips. Not even sure what I was given as I was about to lose consciousness. We stayed overnight, daughter sleeping with me in the bed. Next morning I requested discharge, but I was told to join the queue at the reception. There were more than a dozen of people there, so I just left and removed the IV cannula at the guesthouse. The Health Centre was very old and unkempt, bedsheets were full of stains, which made my daughter uncomfortable. We asked for another bedsheet and were given one in the same state. Staff was kind, but appeared tired and overworked. No one ever asked me to pay a penny to my surprise. Back at the guesthouse, the owner told me about how poor healthcare in Goa was, which is very sad. I am truly grateful for the help I received at this Health Centre and I hope India Govt improves funding in this region.

I don't know how should I thank them. My wife's sugar fell down to 10 at 2 AM and she become unconscious, with the help of hotel,s (Amarante lemon tree beach resort) staff we managed to reach the Primary health care centre, I was so scared but the doctor and nurse available there managed everything so efficiently and controlled her sugar levels. A very big thank you to the Primary Health care centre and the hotel staff.

Yes, you get all the primary treatment here in Candolin PHC. Here is also available wheel chair and essential equipment as per requirement. All areas are neat and clean but some of aren't need to . It's just beside on main road of Calangute to Candolim road. All staffs are helpful and cooperative. Thanksgiving to this PHC for treatment of my friend as a hospital do like this.

Worst.. worst .. worst I had to visit hospital on 28th nov 22 due to emergency, patient was really in bad condition, vomiting in hospital, stomach pain, fever and what not... but doctor was not available in emergency and she was busy in her personal room.. when we asked guards to call doctor, guards were so so rude and here the doctor come, she was the worst doctor.. in place of treating the patients, she started taunting patients and didn't even checked. Finally she refused to check the patient. This is worst worst worst government Hospital and staff... govt should do something about it.... Plzz

Very bad service Had been waiting in line since 2 hrs but wasn't attended too after multiple attempts horrible staff

This place is really ridiculous. here no any controllers. the security of helth center is just like goonda, rude and fighting with patient. The higher authority you can't contact. because phone numbers are not valid. This is serious case of taking care the medical board. if you have any emergency case you can't go directly to casualties you have to make papers and wait until your number will come. if you talk with any of people from medical department of helth center security will not allow. it's very bad experience from helth department of Goa. kindly Take action.
