Locally known as Pahadia as age old beauty of the nature. So hard but still soft from inside. Either of the side always covered with shadow so you can visit anytime except 12-2 PM. Carry your water bottle with you and snacks can add yum in your trip. Please do not litter, Keep our history clean and natural.
It is a good place for archeology study and it need proper protection and restoration. This place is in forest area with caves only and you won't find anything else here. But i think they can do something better to attract tourists attention. Because it is such a beautiful place and not much people know or come here.
A must visit place as this is one of the mesolithic sites with cave shelters and paintings.people visiting must carry their adhar card and entry fee of rs25 has to be paid. Astonishing scenic beauty and variety of flora and fauna. Pre historic. The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are located about 45 km south east of Bhopal on the road to Hoshangabad. The site spread over 10 km in length and about 3 km in width has more than 700 rock shelters, of which over 400 have paintings. The earliest human activities are known from the numerous stone tools including handaxes, cleavers and also the pebble tools. It's a calm place. Few tourists can be seen anytime. Here ancientness becomes ancient. Wonder and surprised to see the living shelters of our ancestors. One must pay a visit. Secondly, this place is of such importance that it's under UNESCO Heritage site but no proper water and washroom facilities available. Washroom is indeed here but so dirty and filled with filth. Local authorities should take care of this please.

Prehistoric Caves with the Paintings made by Paleolithic Age People(Early Stone Age). But no Strict rules to keep the place clean. People come from all over to visit and then leave the garbage at the place. So be self responsible and don't litter.
