Prashanthi Resort - Resort hotel in Madikeri - Kodagu, India

I had a delightful three-day stay at Prashanthi Resort in Coorg, and it was even more special because I brought my dog along. The experience was truly pleasant from start to finish. The highlight of this resort is undoubtedly its stunning location. The fact that there's a waterfall within the property is a nature lover's dream come true. The serene sound of cascading water provided a soothing backdrop to our stay, and the scenic view of the surrounding hills was nothing short of breathtaking. Our room was not only comfortable but also provided a direct view of the waterfall from the balcony. Waking up to the sight and sound of nature's beauty was an unforgettable experience. It felt like we were in our little piece of paradise. The staff at Prashanthi Resort, especially our host Ashok, were incredibly supportive and accommodating throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home and were always ready to assist with any requests or queries we had. Overall, I can recommend Prashanthi Resort, especially for those seeking a serene getaway in the lap of nature. Whether you're traveling with your furry friend or not, this resort offers a tranquil and rejuvenating experience that will leave you with cherished memories.

The owners have been changed I visited here twice the maintenance was great by the previous owners .recommended resort .Nice place 'nearby bus stop and great enviorment

We planned to go Mysore, but our car met with an accident & we saw that Mysore is tomuch of crowd & traffic & we changed our trip to madekeri, so overthere we were distributed(due to accident) & exhausted(due to driving), so did not realise that owner has charged us extra for 1 more day, by the time we realised we have already paid & when we requested to pay us back he said you come & stay next time & we will charge you 1 day less, otherwise the ambience & food was good. Be cautious when you pay him

Unplanned visit to this place, but the host was very cooperative and helpful. The room was nice and clean just to complete our pleasant overnight stay. Located in between the lush green bushes and food was cherry in the cake. Must plan visit.

For the time being,there was maintanence pending I hope its rectified and running good now. The place, view ,food was good as well

*Worst Experience* Since it was a long weekend and coorg hotels were mostly booked to capacity we somehow ended up booking Prashanti Resort for one night. The check-in took a good 30 mins and the room was extremely basic with somewhat cleanliness to manage a night stay. We did like the view from the room as it is somewhat on a valley with a little water stream visible from the room and surrounded by greenery. This actually turned out to be a horrific experience in the end as we left for our early morning excursion to Mandalpatti, we had to literally cross herds of insects and reptiles and huge bugs & fireflies in thousands made it difficult to just go out of the resort. We somehow managed to get out and complete our excursion and we returned at 11.00 am only to find the resort area completely infested with the wings of the bugs and flies at every step. As we entered our room it was a scene straight out of some horror movie, our room was entirely filled with the flies and insects all over the wall floor and the beds and it was impossible to stay in the room for a min. We somehow managed to pack our stuff while covering our heads and faces with napkins. As we packed we decided to inform the owner about the condition since something like this shouldn't be left unnoticed as it's not for the faint hearted. And also, we left way before our check out time and without having our breakfast meal which was a part of the plan. The owner was completely in disagreement and disregard of the inconvenience and trauma this had on our minds while on our trip to coorg. He made it sound obvious that if it rains, the room is ought to be filled with flies. He simply said we can get it cleaned for you and we have not put the insects here. When we complained about the service, he said we did bring 'bucket of hot water' for you when asked. Isnt this basic and the tap should have hot water instead of us asking? The management should close the resort immediately and fix this before hosting any guests. This is the worst experience ever and to the management I say this never happens even in jungle camps and treks all you needed to do was to be prepared and used relevant insecticide spray or anything of that nature to prevent such horrendous incidents.

I have been eagerly waiting to spare sometime to write a review. One of the best homestay that I and my husband had ever booked so far. All the staffs were so polite, owner Ashok was very kind and friendly. Coming to their hospitality, our cottage was clean and higiene. I fell in love with the Birds, Ducks and the beautiful Mother nature. Being a Mangalorian, I am very fond of non veg cuisine. Food was just WOW.. I had that homely feeling while eating. Everything was just awesome. We had a great experience there. We would love to visit again with our parents.

The stay here was just awesome and cool. The location is of the stay is 6KM away from city. Rental bike would be good option. Food was just homely, yummy and variety was delicious.. The cottage were spacious and clean. Owner Ashok is friendly and helpful. Best stay for family. Overall good stay
