Decent place to run, should avoid in rainy season

I went there for the first time on a Sunday evening. It's open from 4p to 630p. It's well laid out park. The most impressive part is the super long trails and walking path as you cross over to the east side of the park (many people don't cross over the metal bridge over the open drainage, which unfortunately stinks). The walking paths in the forest is just surreal and great especially when the weather is good during evenings. We haven't explored all the walking paths, but I suspect it's extremely long. Unfortunately not many signs leading to this place and I guess people avoid it since the approach looks ordinary and smelly, but once you are on the other side, it's phenomenal. So, a flurry of signs and directions won't hurt at all.

A great park in the city for walking and jogging. Don't be mistaken by the small region near the entrance but once you explore further (the main urban forest), it's really worth it. The ambience and the forest surroundings truly captures the given name Prasantha Vanam with the peaceful sounds of birds in early morning. You might also get a chance to see some peacocks and peahens. Note: One star less as still some sewage water passes through the park near the entrance.

Prashanta Vanam situated in between Jeedimetla and Doolapally, it's a man made forest governed by forest department of Telengana. It's well planted trees, however the drainage releasing at this place and polluting this forest. Forest dept should take caste of this. There are lot of birds in this forest. Very well maintained trails are there and locals coming over here to walk. They are charging Rs 20 entree fee. It's fully worthy at the same time the local should be preserve this forest as well.

This place is very good and peaceful, gud pay area, excercise essentials but i request government to take extra attention to fully develop and maintain this place

Though the initial track or the premises near to gate upset you, once you venture deep into the park it will mesmerize you every stretch. This is the perfect example of Urban forest. It will be more helpful if they take more care in cleaning plastic and other waste littered around. A cycle track can help a lot.
