Location is both positive and negative for this lodge. Advantages for those who wants to hop in for the night and catch train next morning. Rooms: Smelly Electricity: no electricity for hours together at night. Tariff: Reasonable Staff: Friendly and understanding
We prefer government tourist rest houses. But here staff was good , well mannered, but the government has not provided any facility. Kitchen is not fully functional, . Even for B/F is not provided. They should stop taking reservations ; it's my worst experience.They don't have generators, and in that period they can't provide even tea.
Rooms are good. Staffs are good. Parking available. Cleanliness is everywhere. Just on road. Guwahati railway station is very near. Brahmaputra river is very near. Rate is reasonable.
Mr Bhaskar is very polite and helpful and other staff members are very cooperative..
The room needs urgent repair. Many appliances are in poor condition. The bathroom shower, tap and sink tap are in horrible condition. Some of the staff members are completely unprofessional with no manners and sincerity. Although spacious, the room was quite dusty and untidy with poor maintenance.
This property, once a busy tourist lodge, now lost its dignity and service due to lack of proper action from Govt. of Assam. It was sad to learn that the lodge is not running properly after lockdown. This Government run tourist lodge seeks attention from the authority so that day to day running can be done. I had visited many times before 2020, and alway found this lodge well served. Located in the heart of Guwahati city this tourist lodge can do good business, I believe. It is unfortunate to see this happen before upcoming G20 summit at Guwahati
Rooms not clean enough.All the furniture,blanket and everything is old,not maintained. TV not working.No Wifi connection.No card payment facility.Price is like a 3 star hotel but no such amenities.Location of Hotel is good,8km from Kamakhya Temple and near to Guwahati railway station.
As this is government run lodge... rooms are good and spacious view is also beautiful. 5 mins walking distance from Guwahati Railway Station. But you can never expect complete cleanliness and efficiency of the staffs.
