unique restaurant with good food ( fish). They uses the best quality fish and plz ask abt its authenticity of the fish . They also sell good para
Food is very homely and fresh, service is good, atmosphere is calm. Great place for lunch. The prices on the non-veg items could have been a tad bit cheaper though.
You'll see lot of reviews related to bad behaviour. Don't be disheartened. Here is a tip. Just go calmly and be patient. Dont ask too much questions and don't try to argue. Just watch the owner. He is rude to people who tries to argue or make a scene. It may take some time to get your food but it would be worth it. Just enjoy the food. Absolutely amazing.
Over confidence of the owner amazed me. He was also misbehaving with the staff shouting at them creating an unpleasant atmosphere. Also the AC that they have added is not adequate for the large hall with 15-20 people seating there. Some prices are over priced .like chicken is for Rs.400
Owner behaviour is very rude and very egoistic person. Food and service is also very poor but price is super high . If you planning to visit there you can try the environment before ordering something. but be ready from the owner' if your return without eating. So, I suggest don't spoil your time and money. There are several restaurants in Barpeta.
Good food. It is a good place to go if you love fish. They have a good selection of local fish. I tried the Chitol and Kawoi and both were great. The basic thali was also not bad with home cook food taste.
We visit only because of food Quality. Very simple food. They prepare food with very less amount of oil and Masala.. You can try curd and pera at the end of you food as desert
I must say they give the best fish in the town .Even in Guwahati ,I hv not been able to get good fish dishes like the one I got in Pranam. The owner keeps the place clean and tidy.We tasted the mutton too and it's again top notch. It's an unfussy hotel where the food quality remains the top priority.Pranam is miles ahead in terms of food ,quality and taste from the other hotels and restaurants of Barpeta and beyond.Owner would enquire about the taste many times. Two veg thalis ,two big pieces of chitol plates and one plate of mutton (more than enough for two) cost us 1200.Will visit this hotel whenever I am in Barpeta.
