Pragati Home Stay - Nagarakodi - Home Stay in Sirsi, Shamemane - Uttara Kannada, India

We had been here for a couple of days during my grand daughter's Dussehra vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay coupled with their reception , hospitality, homely atmosphere and tasted havyaka cuisine for first time. Mr. Shekhar and wife were excellent hosts and took great care of us and our food choice with respect to non-usage of garlic and onion. Look forward to visit this place once again soon.

This was our first visit to Pragati homestay along with our parents and in-laws. We had come here for a quick holiday and I must say that this was the best choice we made. Food was excellent, location was fantastic, service and hospitality was par excellent. Cleanliness and hygiene should be rated 5/5. We thoroughly relished havyaka cuisine during our stay. A big thanks to Mrs. & Mr. shekhar for making it a pleasant and beautiful experience for all of us. We are planning to be here whenever possible next.....Thanks once again

This place is not for someone who is looking for comfort. Pragati is raw nature experience be villager and spend time with villagers. One should be ready to stay without mobile network. Cool calm and rest in nature . The property has a beautiful river stream which adds more fun. Enjoy birds, insects and farming. This place will make everyone realize how materlistic we have become. And it's tough to stay with basic immunity. Host are wonderful people home food can not be compared. One have to experience it.

Wonderful homestay to have some time off from hustle bustle of city life. Excellent service and food quality. The homestay is in the lap of nature, just beside Aghnashini River. The host is kind and courteous.

This trip was a wonderful experience. The hosts were extremely helpful and provided all possible facilities. The location is remote with very limited internet connectivity, which ensured we had quality family time. With a bon fire and sleeping in the tent next to a flowing river was an awesome feeling. Surrounded by forests and sounds of birds and insects was a wonderful experience. Mr. Bhat, taking time off his busy schedule, took us on trek and explained about different plants and trees, which was informational for the kids. The river flowing next to the home, was pleasure to sit and watch. The kids spent good time playing in the river water. The food was excellent, consisting of local veg delicacies. The rooms are basic but very neat and clean. Overall we had a great vacation and an amazing experience. I would like to thank the Bhat family for the excellent hospitality and for making our stay a memorable one. We wish and look forward to visit this place again.

We stayed in this place for 3 days. It is well maintained. Mr Shekhar and his family ( the owners of that place) were very kind and served delicious food during our stay. It was a memorable trip and the place topped it. The nature, stream of water, domestic animals, sport equipments gave a home away from home experience. Overall an excellent location with excellent people and their hospitality. Will surely visit again
