Power Kadai Hotel - Non Vegetarian Restaurant in Navalar Nagar, Madurai - Madurai, India

We three of went to Madurai and discussed on which hotel to go for dinner. Few of them suggested konnar kadai, bun parotta shop and power kadai. I feel to go Power kadai as my favorite to have mutton. My other friends are not fan of mutton. I decided to have only mutton items not to go for main dishes. I started with gadi chops, erral and kudal fry. My other friends tried pichi pota nattu kozhi fry and idly. For idly they gave two types of gravy one kudal gravy and other one is mutton gravy. I never had mutton oil fry items any where , the Gadi chops is oil fried item. Which is too tasty. More than me my friends liked the pichi pota nattu kozhi fry and idly with kudal gravy. I too tasted the idly with kudal gravy which is extremely nasty and it's must try for all. Then I want to try few more mutton items, so I had mutton chukka and suvaroti. It's so nice. Definitely if I get chance to come Madurai again I will definitely come to Power kadai will try other 36 mutton items.

Amazing place to taste a variety of mutton dishes here. They have a very big crowd but no need to wait for too long. Highly recommended is Paya. But worth the hype. Must visit restaurant in Madurai. Service is also very great. Not much long wait time for food after u ordered. Service is amazing. Food tastes very very nice. I am little disappointed with gaadi chops. Try if you are a fan of rib meat.

One of the best places in madurai to taste mutton dishes. All parts of goat is prepared in different styles and served. Kothu parotta is a must try.

Excellent food. Had a great experience first time, from the outside looking at the crowd, I thought I have to wait for long time to get the food but the server approached soon and we have received the food in no time... All food were tasty and the bill was unimaginably less than expected... Would love to go back on every occasion of reaching Madurai... Awesome...

A meat shop in the day turns out to be a hotel serving authentic mutton dishes at night. This place was packed when I visited it. Located in the heart of Madurai city, one can expect a long queue at Power Kadai. I ordered their Nalli Roast, Fried Nalli chops, Mutton chukka and Mutton dosa. In terms of quality, I would say that it was okayish. Although I have not been a big fan of Mutton, I would recommend this place to all the meat eaters only because of the fact that they serve some unique dishes which are not readily available anywhere else. Happy eating.

I just feel that this place is overrated, let me share my experience! We had parotta here with normal mutton gravy and ordered vengaya kari which was the only item which we felt was on the better side still not the best . Idly was okayish but all the gravy was very watery ! Place was very hot and humid inside, especially during summer time it will be very hard to resist. Ambience was very poor and the place was very dirty. For parcel you will have to wait for long time and also it was super crowded . Also we experienced stomach upset next morning. Overall they should improve a lot to match the old authentic taste

One of the very best non veg restaurant in kalavasal madurai. Taste is extremely very good . Especially idly and paya. Vengaya kari.kadi chops silippi. Always very rush . Only irritating thia is people always stand back to us to get seat.

Hot idly and Dosas with non veg gravy excellent taste, yummy and superb food. Will get all kinds of mutton food varieties here. Very reasonable prices, fast and friendly service due huge walk-in.
