New roads are built till the beach. Beach was developed .Buddha statue, giraffees, camels and other structures are built which attract not only children but also adults for photography. River joins the sea near this beach which adds beauty to this place. The beach is also safe as the waves are low .and we can enjoy the water for upto 50m
If you want to go for a day trip then this is the best one to opt. There is an ancient Buddhist place preserved by govt and it resides on a hill known as Saalihundam which got monuments, forts and history belongs to 2nd century. The road trip binds you with the scenic beauty of the nearby villages and the river which ultimately unites with the bay of Bengal sea.

The beach is around 140 km from Visakhapatnam and gives a decent beach experience. The estuary where the river Vamsadhara meets the Bay of Bengal is a beautiful sight to behold. If well maintained, Kalingapatnam beach can be well on its way to become a Must Visit Beach in Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, the sands have also become a graveyard for Olive Ridley Turtles. There is also a lighthouse nearby, but recently, entry for visitors has been barred. The drive towards the beach is pleasant and serenic and is good for a getaway if you have already visited Yarada Beach and other beaches much closer to Vizag
No facilities is there .but simply beautiful .i like beach it give beautiful happy feelings. River and sea will mix here
