Poringalkuthu Reservoir - Reservoir in Pariyaram - Thrissur, India

Poringalkuthu reservoir is a small reservoir in kerala.Peringalkuthu Dam is a concrete dam built across the chalakkudi river in thrissur district, keralastate of india.It also contains Peringalkuthu Hydro Electric Power Project of kerala state Electricity board who owns the dam. This is the first hydro electric power project to build on the Chalakkudi river. The dam is situated in deep forest and special permission is needed to visit the dam. The dam is constructed by British,very good construction. In 2018 the dam is overflowed due to heavy raim fall. The place is situated inside a deep forest. Athirappalli water falls is also nearest to the dam.

The reservoir is beautiful sean. There a park inside. Children play area, coffee shop.
