Poovatharkund Waterfalls - Tourist attraction in Tholambra - Kannur, India

A beautiful, small waterfall in the middle of rubber plantations and farmlands. The location is a bit difficult to find the location. Best way is to follow the road adjacent to Tholambra U.P. School. The road toward the last 1 km is not very good, walking will be better. From the road there is a footpath for about 400 meters to the waterfalls, through the plantations with a few sign boards showing the way. The waterfall is a cascade of 3 or 4 small falls located a few meters apart from each other. The are pools after each fall which are not very deep and suitable for bathing. The rocks are slippery and care should be taken when moving between the falls. The area is very isolated and visited by few people. Help, in case of emergency is not available nearby, so preferable to go as a group. Overall, the experience of visiting this falls is good.

A storehouse of biodiversity. Perennial source of drinking water and this is the water resource were farmers depends. This place is of natural beauty and should be protected. Not recommended for family

A place which can make us very deeply indulged in nature. There is a mild or I should rather say an adventurous trek to reach the spot. But its all worth it.

It was fantastic there. There is a 20min walk to the spot. Please don't take Google map as a guide for direction. Please ask some local people to reach the spot. Nice place to take bath and chill.
