Poomala Dam Wall Path - Tourist attraction in Killannur - Thrissur, India

Go if you wish to visit a dam. Other than an artificial water path created, the place is not maintained well nor a great spot. Also the poomala park is pathetic considering its present state.

It's a small dam and we can walk on the Dam wall without any restrictions. Quiet place to relax. Beautiful sight when the dam is full. We can see many college students skipping classes, sitting here with their friends. No eateries or proper parking or other facilities are available. We can easily park the vehicles on the roadside.

Good scenery, good place for visit with your friends and family. Poomala is a untouched scenic location in Thrissur.Travellers can enjoy the boat rides at Poomala Boat House.Poomala also offers horse rides round the Dam.Children have a lovely garden to play Poomala dam is a small dam that has a peaceful atmosphere. This place can't be listed as a tourist destination. You can add this place to your 'trip list', if you are passing through this route. As the number of visiters are less, you can spend time with friends peacefully. And you can enjoy in flowing water if the water flowing force is less, but that area is pretty slippery and should be careful

A small dam , not well maintained for tourism.

Really great view with a path like hidden(not exactly ) behind which is way awesome with a small waterfall which is very great and the ambience is really nurturing. The dam is also great tourist attraction with boating facilities but right during this pandemic boating has been shut down. This place is really nice to hangout with friends and great place for family picnic have small refreshment stall where you can have refreshment drinks and snacks along with your friends and family. Now in more detail about the dam the dam is not that too big or broad or large its a small dam compared to the other Dams in kerala but this place has a nice ambience especially behind the dam if you visit this dam you must get down behind the dam there is a path a step towards the backside and there is a great waterfall don't expect a large one its small but really beautiful its like step by step waterfall and you can climb it and there is lake which is very awesome.

Gift of nature. But don't utrilised by the authorities properly. There was a kids park but didn't maintained properly. Boating facility is available - seems to be good.

Nice walking path. Comfortable for evening relaxation. Have a man-made waterfall near. If available enjoy boating. Good natural atmosphere. Recommended for one day trip from Thrissur and can connect nearby destinations. Like cheppara rock............ Etc #thrissur #tourism

Take a walk around the water body or relax in the park. I chose to walk. Not exactly the image of a dam that i had in mind but the place was nice..
