Poomala Dam Park - Park in Killannur - Thrissur, India

Nice view but the spot is not good its not clean full of payal and mud so its dangerous for children and adult do not enter in to dam

People enjoy the pedal boating and the scenery. However, some people have noted that the dam is not well-maintained(road towards dam and surroundings)and that there is no public transportation to and from the dam from main road. No toilet facilities and hotels. There is a rock garden near to poomala(4km from here). Best time to visit is before 8am and after 5pm.

It is a place to sit and relax, beside the dam waters. There is not much attraction except a few benches to sit and relax and children's playground available.

This place is not much explored by people so it's very calm and quiet. They do have a small boating facility inside . Overall it's good to spend time with little calmness. After this May they will start the renovation process so by the time it will be a little nicer to hangout.

Calm and beautiful. Boat rides in the calm reservoir is one of the best experience you can have at Poomala Dam. Fee for boat ride is Rs. 50 per person(as on Jul 2017). Horse cart ride also available here. If you are interested in fishing you can try your luck. Overall a refreshing experience.

Amazing Ambience. Beautiful breath taking scenery. Clean air. Few recreational activities available here including paddle boating. Excellent location to visit with friends and family. No entry fee into the dam. No parking fee noted on my last visit there. A place to go and just chill.
