Nice place for a hang out. Boating available and a circuit like walking path around the lake will give an experience to enjoy the natural beauty of the place.

The pavement around the lake is beautifully built and maintained. Ideal for walking, jogging and cycling. Its a pleasant and warm experience to ride along the side of lake with forest on the other side . We get bicycle for rent , for a fair price, check the break though. Those are not well maintained. We went there on a rainy day, and it was a memorable experience.

Better for walking and cycling, can relax our mind, cold wind, different types of trees there, area for watch birds, main problem is monkeys they are thiefs avoide them, don't near of them with food or other things like bag, hat, camera and others this like valuable thing, and also leech high in that area...... Boating, fish aquariums, fish massage and park for kids also nice place nice view

We visited the pretty Pookode Lake in December 2018. Apart from the boating facilities at the lake there is a very nice Jogging Park with a paved walking track. We spent about half an hour taking a stroll around the lake beneath the shady trees. There were some flowers on the lake surface, making it look like a pink carpet covering the lake. It was cool and serene, as there was not much of a crowd on the weekday morning. After our walk we bought some souvenirs from the curio shop and enjoyed a hot cup of Kerala filter coffee.

Not worth your time, especially if you are someone who has seen some decent places in your life within India. If you are an International traveler, give this a miss unless you want to try the paddle boat with is best suited with family and young kids. Saving Grace is the cycling path through the periphery of the lake which is worth the time. But an entry fee of Rs.30 person is just not worth it and about taking your camera, nothing worth taking a pic which you can anyway take on your phone. So, why pay for camera entry fee. Boat ride is charged separately. Worst thing there is the parking menace, you have to park about half a kilometer away at a paid parking space and then walk back.

Best place to walk.... enjoy the wild beauty ...have more fun doing peddle boating fish spa and cycling . Best place for photos . Can have a chance to buy honey, tea powder and many rare things available from forest .

Very good place for relax and walking have boating and other activities for kids and matures. We can see so many birds and elephant riding also available . Main problem in there is MONKEYS but just avoid them dont eat anything infront of them and dont wear hat etc.. like that

One of the best place for tourists who are coming with family .we can bring young kids here , they have park to enjoy . In my opinion this is also a best place for couples.but not a good place for youngsters coming with friends. This place is just after entering to wayanad district through thamarassery churam.
