Neaarest area in our town. Entrance fees for four wheelers 40 rupees. Toilet facilities are available there. Best time is to buy fish is 06:00AM to 10:00AM Good behavior by people. Plastic cover will be available there. Without ice and chemical you will get fish.

Entrance fee for cars: Rs 40. Plenty of parking space is available (no extra parking fee). Boat service: Rs 100 per head for a 45 minute journey. Separate block for toilets (paid service). Proper cleaning and maintenance of the area are required.

You can purchase fresh fishes in morning

Famous Ponnani harbour. Nice place to spend some evening time with friends. Not worth to take your family here because there are no exact spots or so. You can't buy fish here, in the morning it might be possible if you are allowed to enter the harbour. Also entry is restricted to harbour area and entry fee has to be paid to go to a certain extent. You can drive around in a bike or car at this place. There are no exact view points but anywhere which has some space can be chosen to take some rest and watch the beautiful sea and harbour. You may choose Karma view point if you are looking for a family or friends gathering. Soon the bridge to Karma area will be opened after the ongoing construction.

Can buy fresh fish at very reasonable price . Early morning is good time for visiting.

It's a nice harbour for buy fish for home, but the price is little bit high. I visited two times and all those visit I got old fish.

It's a small harbour. Clean harbour compared to common harbours in Kerala. Boats with fishes are usually arriving early in the morning. Can see how the fishes are sold with auction. Also can purchase fresh fishes straight from the sea.

Ponnani harbour is located at the mouth of Bharathappuzha river where Bharathappuzha river & Ponnani-Tirur river join with each other and empties together into Arabian Sea. Opposite side of harbour is Patinjarekkara village and beach. This harbour has a historical importance for trading and battles. This is one of the major fishing centre in Kerala & main harbor in Malappuram district with enough parking facility & a play ground. Entry fees for four wheeler is Rs40 & two wheeler is Rs20. Fishing and tourist boat of different sizes harbour here. Fish market, cold storage room, export facility, jhankar boat service to Patinjarekkara village etc are available here. During the months of February and March, large number of migratory birds flock at Ponnani (both Ponnani and Patinjarekkara Beaches). Very beautiful scenery and little busy on holidays evening.
