I'm glad to visit such nice place. Since my childhood days I know this place but recently I got the opportunity to visit this Poa Mecca Dargah Sarif. Such a nice Dargah, well maintained, clean and peaceful place situated in a hill area. It is one of the popular as well as ancient religious place in Assam which symbolise harmony and peace.

Holy qnd worship place for Muslims.

The place holds a very special place for the followers of Islam. It is called 'Poa Mecca' because it signifies one 'poa' or 1/4th part of the Holy Kaaba Sharif at Mecca, Saudi Arabia. People have a belief that their prayers are answered positively if they wish something here in Poa Mecca. Also, the 3 km stretch of road from the Poa Mecca Gate at the main road (SH-02) to the shrine is very beautiful, scenic and peaceful, covered with tall green trees. A well-built parking space has been provided by the authorities of Assam Tourism for the convenience of the visitors/devotees. Moreover, there are numerous shops near the entrance from where people can buy agarbatti (incense sticks), ittar/attar or other showpieces for homes.

Lovely place, and very ancient. Surroundings are also great. Very green area with lots of huge trees. The area is very good. People here are very helpful. Loved the place totally. One must visit here when come around Hazo. The government has provided all relevant facilities and some local bodies also have comtributed to some facilities. The road leading to this place is beyond imagination and pretty cool.

Located at Hajo, a small town near Guwahati, Poa Mecca is a holy shrine of Muslims. The place has a long view point and hills to offer your view beside the famous Place well known as Poa Mecca.. Though it's a rumour story tht runs around that if you visit here it's like rewards of visiting 1/4 of Mecca . But rembr it's only rumour and no place in Islam nor in logic. But thts doesn't lessen the shrine holiness or the mosque benefits. Of course those are really loving and you should find every reason to visit here. The place well maintained, the rods are curvy, narrow and nice. It's has mosque for prayers just beside the shrine. And there's lots of goodness around here
