Pleasant Haveli - Rooftop Restaurant - Restaurant in Jaisalmer, Kishan Ghat - Jaisalmer, India

The restaurant was lovely, as was the food and the ambience. However, the owner introduced us to Lakshman, a local with a shop in the Jaislamer Fort. We chatted with him all evening and he proceeded to warn us about tour guides and bad prices and invited us to his shop the next day. We really got on with him and bought some of his wares but not only 10mins later saw the same wares on sale for 1/5 the price!! He was very close with the owner and I am certain they were in collusion to scam unsuspecting tourists. See attached a photo of his shop. Be careful!!!

As we stayed in Hotel Pleasant Haveli, we ate several times in the Rooftop Restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. The food is delicious (my favorite was the onion paratha), the service is very good (they check very often on you in case you would like to order something more) and they are very fast. Even if you only would like to have a drink and chill on the rooftop this is a very good place for that.

Ate at the rooftop restaurant. It was good enough. The veggie curry was on point, the serving of rice was big enough to share for two. The butter chicken had bones in it though, so not quite what we were expecting. Overall nice flavor though. Naan was great

Stayed in the hotel, had breakfast. Seating area with the rooftop is pretty good with a clear view of the fort. Staff is pleasant, food was decent. Pancakes, french toast and chicken sandwiches were fresh and well prepared.

I really liked their hospitality, the food here is amazing. The staff here are really humble & helpful. I had an amazing experience here. Do visit there roof top restaurant & enjoy the ambiance with your loved ones.

Good hotel but there are some issues, room services are not available and lack of dustbins in rooms and in common areas

With its captivating view of the Jaisalmer Fort, this rooftop restaurant offered a delightful dining experience. The ambiance was pleasant, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. However, there was a minor issue with allergies. Despite notifying the staff about our nut allergy, the Chocolate shake contained nuts (due to use of nutella). Thankfully we realised it soon enough, they acknowledged the mistake and also didn't charge us for it. I am sure they won't make the same mistake easily again. As for the food, the chicken tikka lacked the smoky tandoor flavor we expected. Also de Butter Naan was very flat, supposedly also not from the tandoor. On the other hand, the mutton Rogan Josh was a highlight, delivering a delicious blend of spices and tender meat. The Biryani was also very nice. In summary, the rooftop restaurant's view of Jaisalmer Fort was a highlight, and the ambiance was enjoyable. Despite the allergy mix-up and the hit-and-miss with some dishes, the Mutton Rogan Josh and Biryani made the dining experience worthwhile. Prices also very reasonable as well.
