Such a beautiful place. The atmosphere gives you some peace. Just sit and chill even if you are alone or introvert,there are no disturbance or unwanted noises or music. Just a calm place and yes about the food no need to tell they are yummy. Worth every penny. Good service nice place to chill and make your mind and tummy fill
Plated is Kochi based Food brand newly opened in Ottapalam. Their Charcoal shawarama , Grills & fried chicken in the menu are simply awesome. Must try their special rumali shawarma plate. We tried their french fries which was normal but dips served is good. Descent seating and vibrant ambience is highlights. Located next to famous fruit bae Insha allah next visit need to try their Al faham's and fried chicken also
Ambiance and seating is pretty nice. Food was good. We ordered Mexican fried chicken and it tasted pretty nice and crispy and tender on the inside. We also ordered milkshakes but they had to cancel that and we ended up with smoothies instead . The chocolate smoothie was very good but shamam smoothie was a bit warm and tasted average. Regardless overall food was pteety good but the only issue I faced was we had to wait a long time for our order. Almost 15 mins. Overall a great place to hang out and have a quick bite with your friends!
Plated Ottapalam, the place that I have been wanting to try every since I started seeing the Instagram post last August. Well the wait was worth it! To the foodies out there this is a must try place. You will be amazed about the combination they have in preparing the food. First the ambience is great. The place is spacious and can accomodate a large crowd. Their service is quick and good. Coming to the food part, we tried the mixed Al Faham, which consists of Kashmiri, Orange, Honey and Kanthari. Out of the 4 the Honey Al Faham tastes different and good as it is the combination of sweet and spice. Along with it you get the dips and khuboos. Apart from that their popular dish are the paparika fried chicken and charcoal shawarma. There are no option for vegetarians. And also they provide fresh water and cool drinks. It would be great if they try to add fresh juice and shakes. Overall a great place to try out. Edit 1: Tried the Paparika Chicken today and it was out of the world experience. The taste is different and good. It is not too spicy so everyone can enjoy it. They had also provide extra paparika powder, mayonnaise and orange colour dip. Hence it's a must try item. Good ambience but relatively small restaurant (can accommodate around 24 people at a time) . They have good options for their fried chicken. My first experience with them around 2 days after their launch left me with a bad taste both with the quality and service I was offered. But I am happy to say this time they have increased their service and quality by a considerable amount. They explained the menu to get me the best options and their packaging for the takeaway was also good. Recommended: Dynamite Chicken (Highly Recommended), Mexican Tangy Fried Chicken, Hot Paprika (Spicier than average), Special Plate Charcoal Shawarma, Tender Coconut Smoothie
Plated, the new bee in town, located at Eat (east) Ottappalam. Was waiting to try their Orange Al faham and Charcoal shawarma ever since I have noticed that on their Cochin insta page. This week, we did that...(take away) on the second day itself. Charcoal shawarma, Honey alfahm, Kashmiri and the Orange Al faham. Charcoal shawarma is good, not filled with mayo, wrapped in rumali, enough meat... Better than the normal shawarmas available in town. Orange al faham, the only difference I could spot was on the topping marination, the rest was the same as the normal. Kashmiri and Honey are fine. They are serving mayo, coleslaw and an orange chilli paste and kuboos (Indian kuboos) with al faham. By the way do dine in, the taste will differ for sure. Next time I am gonna try dine in for sure. Their signature dishes Dynamite chicken and Cheese strips will soon be available. Enough seating space for 20 pax. They have not activated (said they will, soon) the card payment yet, but upi is active. Now not available now but will be available in Limtzo and Pikit by next week.
This place serves the best charcoal Shawarma in Ottapalam. The meat is nicely marinated and properly cooked, not at all burnt. Lettuces are used instead of cabbage for the filling with meat. The ambiance also requires a special mention. Overall a very good experience.
