PL.A Residency - Hotel in Kumbakonam - Thanjavur, India

Very strategically located opposite to Railway station. Very poor maintenance. Service is also very poor. Checked in around 1:30 pm. No towel was provided, and in the wash room, soap wrapper was alone there without soap. This was informed informed @ the reception around 4:00 pm. and went outside. I came back around 7:00 pm and still it was not attended. Again, I have to inform reception and was attended. The latch provided at the main door inside doesn't have any holder. A torn bedspread was provided. The bathroom door doesn't close fully, and hence, you can't lock the same. Over NOT AT ALL satisfied.

Only best thing about this hotel is the location - it is very near to the railway station. However, there are lot of issues we faced during our stay 1. Firstly we would like point about Air conditioner, which was very poor. Even after multiple complaints, and we even changed one room to another - it was not addressed till the end. Very poor service 2. The food was not upto the mark. They told that complementary breakfast starts at 7 am. We went to breakfast by 7.35 only and still many dishes like poori, vada, chutney was not ready. We even tried ordering from room and food was okay only. 3. For the price they are charging, the rooms are spacious and was decent, but the bathroom can be maintained better.

We stayed at this hotel for a day. The standard room was spacious and the wash room was clean and hot water was available. The front desk and restaurant staff were courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast included was okay okay type but was useful as there are no other restaurants in the near vicinity. There are two lifts and were very useful. Parking lot is spacious. It's very close to Railway station.On the other side the centralised air-conditioning was not working. They have not even provided towels to the guests. In the wardrobe they have not provided even coat hangers. Cable TV in the room gives only Tamil channels most of them local channels. Keeping in mind the visitors to this temple City from all over the world atleast some English news channels should be provided. The overall impression of the hotel is it's a old property needs some new coat of paint and some improvement. Considering this the tariff is high.

One of the best things about the hotel is its location. Being located just opposite to the railway station, it makes it easy for guests to travel to and from the hotel. The rooms at the hotel are neat and clean, and the bathroom is well-maintained with hot water available round the clock. This hotel has centralized AC in the rooms. The tariff for the rooms is also reasonable, making it a great value for money option. Moreover, the food in the hotel restaurant is also good, with reasonable prices. The room service is also commendable. However, one suggestion for the management would be to make coffee/tea available from 4 am or provide provisions in the room itself for the same. This is especially important since the restaurant opens at 7:30 am, which may be inconvenient for some guests, particularly those who may have to leave early for religious purposes. Also room boys were not available for service between 9am to 1.30pm. Overall, the hotel seems like a great option for those looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in a pilgrimage town.

The location is amazing. Breakfast was good. The food was tasty. The bedsheets were torn. The door locks all rattle. Bucket is there but no mug in the bathroom.

Perfect place to stay for a couple of days to visit temples at Kumbakonam. Since it has centralised air-conditioning system, the fumes of liquor from other rooms spread to all rooms. Air conditioning system to be improved.

Firstly thy offer torn towels to guest and For one lotion stained turkey towel which mistakenly done by my daughter , this hotel charged us 600inr for laundry . Pathetic, stain which will go easily After a wash .. Never recommend bcoz of this incident and rude behaviour of staff in general terms too .

Rooms were best and spacious for 2 adults and 1 to 2 children. Location is very convenient. Opposite to Kumbakonam Railway station. Car and bike Parking available but limited space. You can park around 10 cars
