Pine View Nursery - Plant nursery in Kalimpong - Kalimpong, India

Pine View Nursery is a cactus nursery situated on Atisha Road in Kalimpong of West Bengal. It is one of the popular nurseries in Kalimpong and one of the stoppage points in a standard Kalimpong local sightseeing tour. Pine View Nursery is a private commercial nursery, spread over an area of 2 acres. The Nursery presently have more than 1500 species of Cactus which was collected from around the globe. Pine View Nursery is the largest collection of Cactus in entire Asia. The nursery has been awarded with several national and international awards for breeding various types of cacti all at a single place. There is also a resort which provides food and accommodations for tourists.

Botanists will find this very encouraging. However, there are also some seasonal flowering plants around in the garden. A small cafe is also inside for chilling out, their juices are actually pretty good at a reasonable price. The ticket prices when I went in March 2023 was Rs10 per head and Rs20 parking charges. Tips: Put your warm clothes in the car outside as it is very warm inside the greenhouses. The best way to visit here is on the way to Kalimpong from Darjeeling. Ask your cab driver for your visit. If you want to visit this from your stay at Kalimpong, the route will be odd and there are no other significant attractions on the way.

You can do it one day tour with Delo park, durpin dara monestry, Science city, Morgan house ect.

A point where Lots of collection of Cactus plants are available there. Also a home stay is over there. It seems Entrance fees are little bit higher than the collections. Entry fee 20 Rupees and 30 rupees for car parking those limitless, i filled.

Has a huge collection of cactus plants of different varieties. It's really great to see so many types of cactus at one place. However, there isn't much to see over here. Apart from the cactus, the place is pretty ordinary. Don't waste too much of your time here. The washroom here had no water, no lights, wasn't clean enough and you still have to pay additional Rs 10 for it to use it.

Just wow. I was spellbound to see all the variety of plants, specially the cactuses. It's great to see how they are taking care of all the plants the succulents. The entry fee is 20rs. They also have a cafe inside. one thing i would mention, there was this man who was a caretaker i suppose who continuously was following me and also commented on my dress. in front of my partner. That was very weird. The whole Kalimpong i have felt absolutely safe but just this once was very uncalled for this one person. kindly look into this staff.

Meticulously collected, planted and labeled as per their categories, the Nursery provide in depth information about this family of plants. Alongside cacti, one can also find other season flowering trees in the vicinity. A small cafe adds to the brightness of the place. A beautiful memorial commemorating the owner/collector remains testimony to his zeal and efforts.

Located on a road going down right of Upper Cart Road, beyond Benfish Tourist Lodge. Entry ticket priced at Rs 20, car parking charges extra. Good collection of cactus plants. Lots of birds in the trees. Peaceful and quiet place.
