Pillalamarri Banyan Tree - Tourist attraction in Mahbubnagar - Mahabubnagar, India

It's a must visit historical place. Here you can see the 800 year old Banyan tree which is spread in 4 acres. There are many other things like zoos, museums and historical temples. It's a good place for people of all ages. Children will enjoy it here.

Other than the huge Banyan tree do not miss the District Museum. Some Sculptural gems from the glorious history of Telangana can be found here. Had an enlightening day, with a lot of learning while seeing the outdoor and indoor artefacts, in the Museum. There is a publication cell where you might find books on historical sites useful for college students.

The place is good but the visitors are not allowed to enter Pillalamarri tree premises, they're only watch it from an iron culvert.

Pillalamarri with its mini zoo & small museum is a magical experience, especially during the monsoon with gentle drizzles. The lush green surroundings come alive, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Our visit was made even more special as we practically had the place to ourselves, which allowed us to immerse in nature's tranquility. Oldest banyan tree with so many btanches spread over nearly 4 acres. 25 years back we used to sit and play near the tree. Now a big wall is constructed around the tree and gate is arranged.near the wall a high walking bridge is constructed to see the banyan tree . Everything is under locking. We can only view from outside by paying the ticket

Most disappointing is we can't see that banyan tree it's been prohibited So I don't recommend this place to visit. It's waste of time!

This banyan tree is huge and mind blowing. It was an amazing site to see such a huge and gigantic tree with its branches being rooted for so many centuries. We were shell shocked to see such a majestic tree, which has survived and still surviving. Unfortunately we were not allowed to touch and feel the tree or see it from a close distance, because the authority has taken some precautionary steps to prevent the tree being spoiled by some mischievous people, who instead of ailing such an amusing nature's gift, cause damage to such valuable treasure.

Its a centurion old baniyan tree spread across a large area. A must visit place if you're in Mehoobnagar These days the authorities have restricted the public entry inside the tree area. You can only see it from outside, there is a small skywalk from which you can view the tree , the purpose behind not allowing the public near the tree is to preserve it from getting damaged. Entry fee is very nominal, ample parking available. There is a small mini zoo inside the park where various types of fishes, birds, snakes can be seen. A small temple is also there,you can visit the museum as well in the same premises. This park closes by 5:30pm.
