Beautiful public garden to spend time with friends and family.

This is a beautiful garden at the heart of the city, designed very well with fountains, kids play area, different statues and rest shades, it has ample parking area. But I didn't find any garbage boxes here, people littering all over so need lots of awareness and a little effort to keep the park clean. Also kids playing area need maintenance.

One of the best part of bhavnagar, must visit

This public garden is designed more than 75 years ago. Nice green atmosphere with small bushes, big trees for shadow and lawn to arrange small picnic too. Small zoo and play ground for children. Adults and seniors walk here in the morning and there are cement benches to take rest .

Cool and quite place to chill but bird poop might smell a lot. Rest awesome place to hangout

Though now it is named 'sardar baug'. I used to visit this garden in my kids' days with my grandpa. It is in the centre of city. Triangular in shape. It was named in honor of Sir James Braithwaite peile. After ICS (British) he worked as political agent in Saurashtra. He helped to co-ordinate numerous heads of princely activities in Saurashtra, including Bhavnagar. Garden is greeny but partly stone ways in between to walk through- making garden warm in summer !? (after modernisation) . It include sitting batches, domes with batches r useful in summer. Pole light useful after evening. It is one kilometer from main city. Also has recreational activities for kids. A high school is also there. A zoo - almost a bird zoo - has many different type of birds including different types of sparrows - our olden days zoo was quite in good half circular shape. There were many compartments of monkeys, pigeons, dove, swan, sparrows, surpents and many more. ... Statues of maharaja and sardar vallabhbhai patel. To-day again I visited sadar baug refer certain eye striking photos - small waking bridge, small lake greenery loan, painted stroke birds, statue of maharaja and many more.

A peaceful place. A great place to spend evening with family and friends. Students come here to study.
