Piggy Hostel Varkala (formerly Short Giraffe) - Backpacker Hostel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

I had one night stay at this place. The vibe that they have created here is so nice. All those books and drawings, those mango trees, potters wheel... The name itself felt unique. But u may have to comprise when it comes to cleanliness and privacy. It's really suitable for someone looking for budget rooms near to beach. The people are nice.

Great place to be at if you enjoy cliff and beach alike. Very close to black beach and the happening cliff area. The place is a great place to meet fellow travelers and localities. They also have a good menu with a great cook. But the best part of the place is the Vibe and the hosts, Aakash and Bhagya. The walls is filled with travelers memories. The dorms are clean and comfy. They have all services available. And they'll help you with whatever you may need as a young traveler :D

Highly recommended by my peers and juniors , I decided to give piggy a shot. Was not disappointed at all. The place is very clean and the property manager is pretty chill. We lazed around , played some games and worked while we were there. Reaching the cliff is just a matter of few minutes on foot.

One of the best hostels in Varkala. They've got an amazing vibe. We had a blast, definitely gonna come back here. The hosts are so cool and friendly. The ambience is great and they gave us a great experience during our stay here.

Good space for a weekend solo stay. Reasonable rate. Management could be a bit more polite and mannered in dealing with customers. They provide good food and music vibe. Well maintained facilities provided and active assistance.

An amazing hostel with a very homely vibe. The staff are helpful and friendly and are more than willing to hang out and engage with the guests. Food is good and cheap, rooms are clean and equipped with lockers. shower and bathroom are brand new. Chill areas with hammocks and tables are everywhere. Location is 2 minutes walk from the main beach. A Perfect stay!

Staff and service was great, property has a quirky look and character to it. It was a good experience with very able hands in kitchen. Would recommend it to solo and couple travelers. Rooms were particularly clean and neat. Beds were quite comfortable. The staffs were warm and courteous. Place worth the money spent. Its just 2-5 mins walk from the cliff. The place is an old Kerala house refurnished. Good vibes everywhere. The place is a perfect stay for couples and group of friends.
