This hostel doesn't exist anymore. The listing is still active all on websites like TripAdvisor, Expedia, etc but the place has been shut for over a year. However, they are still accepting bookings despite being shut. We already made the payment for a room at this hostel, and when we arrived at the location we were told that the hostel doesn't exist anymore. There were quite a few travellers who had the same experience with this place so kindly refrain from booking a room at Piggy hostel. It's a scam. Our money wasn't refunded either. There's a new property at the exact same location called Cocolawns studio and they're listed on Airbnb only so book accordingly.
I extended my 4 nights stay to 19. WHY? A great place to have a chill vibe, that let's you work on a workation. It didn't get too loud or too crowded during my stay so it worked. I met some great people, whom I will be in touch. Conveniently located and accessible to places in Vagator and Anjuna. For local experiences, talk to the guys managing the place. One of the things, sometimes hostels miss are good mattresses and big lockers. They've both. I felt comfortable and safe. FEW SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT- One more staff is required for better cleaning, I hope as the business gets better, they'll look into it. A common laundry facility would be really helpful for people coming for long stays. There is an attached kitchen in every room but there is no appliance available. May be they can provide some basics. I was told they'll setting it up, but nothing was actually done. Charging points near bed would be really helpful.
The hostel is at a calm location which connects you to beaches, restaurants and other shops in a short span. The place has a lit cafe, called Hideaway right in front which has beautiful live gigs on some days. The property is also surrounded by greenery and has a book stand outside for anyone who'd be interested in reading in a relaxed place. It's also very safe for female travellers and extremely affordable. The staff were kind, friendly and welcoming, which made our stay there a memorable one. Can't wait to visit this place again!
I stayed at this place last night. It was a random plan. I was with my bunch of friends hanging out at Hideaway which is situated next to Piggy hostel. Cool hostel to stay in Goa. Receptionist was also really courteous. Hope you guys keep rocking. Overall comfortable stay. Thanks for the cute band.
I can call Best Hostel in the world after travelling around the world. Never seen a 6 bed dorm with Private Kitchen, Refrigerator & balcony at such a low cost price. Even the beds are so soft. Manager Kanu is a excellent host and make your stay comfortable. Thanks Piggy Hostel
Such a fun place to stay at. The community manager Komal is very helpful and fun loving person. We've had some crazy times at the hostel enjoying the gigs; crazy vibes. The hostel is well maintained & clean. It being a pet friendly hostel, makes everything better. Bella, the hostel pet is really cute. Will definitely visit here again. First time stayed in a hostel. Had checked in for a night but ended up staying for over a month. The property is neat, clean and is surrounded by coconut trees which gives a refreshing feeling. There is cafe, Hide away connected to the property so the vibe is always lively as guest keep on hoping in and out and they have amazing gigs. Made amazing friends here during my stay. Also thanks to Komal and Ankit for making the stay amazing.
Great location, hospitable hosts, simple yet elicit design at great prices! Piggy Hostel is really the ideal destination for a pocket friendly vacation in Goa. Just about 5 minutes walk from Vagator beach, the area is surrounded with numerous cafes, restaurants and party spots. Not to mention Hideaway Cafe, forming a part of the hostel, hosting great evening events and a menu combining unique dishes and old favorites. The rooms are unpretentious, clean and homely. A great place to meet new people. If you're looking for a short or even long vacation in Goa, this would definitely be the right place to head to.
