Fantastic experience to be in between the second largest mangrove canopies in the world. The boatman was helpful, and showed us all the locations where movies were shot. All in all, a worthwhile visit!

One good place to spend 3-4 hours with friends and family Entry fee to Pichavaram is 100rs for car and 40rs for bike There is huge parking space available for parking bus car vans and bikes There is two departments for boating 1. Tamilnadu tourism 2. Tamilnadu forest department We took Tamilnadu forest department boat ..! They charged 1350rs for 30min and 10persons can accommodate in that boat .!! A very nice ride it was ..!! Through the mangroves was amazing Greenish water with full of green mangrove was a treat to watch Avoid weekends bcoz it would be very crowded And prefer going into mangroves during evening time because scorching sun would drain ur energy Restroom facilities are available here Shops are available here (eateries) A must visit place ..!! Most recommended

It was a nice experience. My kid really enjoyed it. We actually 5 people went but need to pay for 6 as we opt for 6 members boat. And additionally paid 10rs per person to forests officer.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Kids will enjoy. The place is very safe, Especially people who are rowing the boat are very kind. There are two types of boating option 1,Row Boat and 2,Speed Boat I took the Row Boat for rs 400/- it's worth it if you are going with four members.

Love love this place.. it costs 340 rupees for 4 members and 1 hr time... additional to boat charge there is 10 rupees extra charge for the forest entry.. However the boat rowing person has asked 600 rupees extra for entry inside forest saying its not currently allowed but if you give 600 rupees i will take you... since we dont know much tamil we didnt communicate well and end up giving 600

Long queue for tickets collections then waiting for boat during long weekends/ peek days. We have seen wait for tickets almost 1 and half hr then for boat more than half an hour.... We travelled 75km and spend some time came back after watching the crowd..... plan for non busy/ week normally Wednesday will be the best day to send in Pandy.

First time we went Mangrove forest by boating... Lovely place For 6 person in normal boating they will charge 390. If you need motor boat 1300 will be charged.

Nice place to visit , if the government boat ride is closed becz of time please don't worry take a guide from local people they will take you for the ride personally
