It is very nice place good time to go with family and friends Mangrove forest inside the waters and plants are very charming . Tourism department boats are operated If you pay some hundereds to the boat man he will take you inside the forest Where there are many films has shooting has been taken. Overall very nice explore . Eateries also available many near by .

It's a great experience in the mangrove forest!! It costs 100 per person for row boat for an hour ride. They cover only 1km. Boatmen will ask extra money to go inside the forest. He asked 600rs for that. So before committing ask the price. There were mosquitoes so carry a repellent.carry a umbrella or a hat if you are planning it on a sunny day or afternoon.

Great boat riding experience at Pichavaram Mangrove Forest. A lifetime experience one can have. The row boat ride is reasonable. One can also enjoy the speed boat ride. Enjoy the natural scenic beauty of the forest in the middle of lake.

Very beautiful mangrove forest. Boating was excellent. TTDC could have done a lot lot better with the facilities. The boating with the visit to the mangroves is a must do activity in TN.

One good place to spend 3-4 hours with friends and family Entry fee to Pichavaram is 100rs for car and 40rs for bike There is huge parking space available for parking bus car vans and bikes There is two departments for boating 1. Tamilnadu tourism 2. Tamilnadu forest department We took Tamilnadu forest department boat ..! They charged 1350rs for 30min and 10persons can accommodate in that boat .!! A very nice ride it was ..!! Through the mangroves was amazing Greenish water with full of green mangrove was a treat to watch Avoid weekends bcoz it would be very crowded And prefer going into mangroves during evening time because scorching sun would drain ur energy Restroom facilities are available here Shops are available here (eateries) A must visit place ..!! Most recommended

This place is so good for those who involved in studying marine technology. It's also a good place to on boat ride. If you are booking for power boat it's expensive when it is for few people and if it's for a group the it's fine. Beautiful nature in the backdrop of water

Pitchavaram mangrove in itself was beautiful. Avoid weekends as crowd will be heavy. Prefer opening time(9-10.30) or closing time(around 3.30). Rowboat is for 4 ppl. Motorboat(8 ppl) though expensive has shade. If you give extra something to the boat man, he will take you via narrow canals and such.
