Phalke Farm Pure Veg - Vegetarian restaurant in Chas - Ahmednagar, India

It's a great vegetarian eatery on the way to ahmednagar from Pune, just before Ahmednagar. Food quality is great. Traditional and local maharashtrian food. They serve delicious pithla bhakri and Amti thali. They sell farm fresh fruits also, which are very delicious... Absolutely recommended..!!

Such an excellent place for Hurda Party, with family and/or friends. Huge farm and such open space for a wonderful Get-togethers. Yummy hurda, sumptuous food items like palak bhaji, pithla, wanga bharit, bhakri, amti n so much more. The best part is the service they provide. Whatever & whenever you ask for, any of the food items n all, you have someone from their teams to help with. Great Experience, for sure. Must visit.

Best place for hurda party, you will get original taste of hurda. Now they build rest room also which is very good. They serve very fast and 5 star rating for service.

Best place for village style veg food lovers. Only thali system is available (Pithla+Bharit+Patwadi Rassa+Jowar/Bajra Bhakri). Accompaniments like Curd or Butter milk is available. The place is simply arranged and has relaxing vibes, covered under the Chikoo tree canopy. Children can enjoy in kids play area. Hammocks are placed under trees. Owner Mr. Ashok Phalke himself attends all the customers and look after what they need. Indeed a nice experience.

A hidden treasure enroute to aurangabad/pune situated right on the highway. The place is really beautiful with lots of hammocks, swings surrounded by tons of sapota trees. Mr Ashok was very courteous and was helpful throughout. This place offers typical Maharashtrian unlimited thali that too for just 180 rs and trust me, it's worth every penny. The zunka (pithala), vangyacha bharit and masvadi served with bhakari right out of the pan was just super yum. On top of it they serve mirchi cha thecha with the thali which is to die for. Rice was also well cooked. The feeling of eating such yum food sitting under the tree in the lush green farm is just a wonderful experience. The yum food is cherry on the top Ample parking and clean restrooms available here A must visit place for everyone .

This place is a hidden gem! Just a few kilometers from Ahmednagar, located right on the highway is this place. My family had been going to this place for the last 4-5 years but I had only heard from them on how great this place is. Finally managed to visit this place last Sunday. It is beautiful. The entire place is one giant Chikoo farm. These trees are interlocked to each other and make a canopy that completely covers the ground in shade. I had been to the "hurda festival" and was expecting the start to be Hurda. But it wasn't. They first gave us sweet and moist Sweet corns. They were steamed in a pot that was kept on a bonfire. That earthy burnt flavor that was added to these Sweet corns was amazing. And it wasn't just one or two pieces, but a basket full of them. Amazing. The came the pakodas. Methi pakodas. Everyone has onion pakodas and it's always the same. This was a really nice change. Then came the hurda. But you can't just eat the hurda - you have to experience how it's made. And you get to experience this quite easily here. Hurda was ofcourse accompanied by 3 different Chutneys, curd and jaggery. Again, unlimited. I mean you can't really stop eating hurda but then there was still lunch to be had. In the meanwhile, the property also has a guy sells sugarcane juice. You just have to have that. Then comes the lunch! Being a farm they offer true Maharashtrian meals. Bhakri of various types, pithla and a Dal that I personally never have had in my life! It was brilliant. I mean even after all the food mentioned above, I couldn't resist myself from eating 2 bhakaris. Ofcourse, there was Indrayani rice that is grown on the farm itself. If you are looking for a day excursion with your family close to Pune or Ahmednagar - this is THE place to go. As a side note, there is another "Phalke farms" with notices for Mutton and nonveg food right before this place. They are not affiliated. You should give Phalke Farms chikoochi wadi a definite visit :)
