Dining here was a memorable experience for me and my colleagues. The authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and friendly service created a dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to savor the rich and diverse flavors of the erstwhile British north west frontier cuisine. It's a culinary journey worth embarking on.
The place is always booked even on weekdays, as there are quite a bit of expats who dine here frequently, some of the items in the menu especially the kebabs are delicious, roti's and the dal are brilliant, prawn kebab is average, dessert Kulfi with Gilab Jamun is out of the world. Service guys need to be more friendly, and smile more.
After dining at this ITC Grand venue multiple times this past evening had the opportunity to utilize the venue for a larger format customer dinner.
First, it's worth noting that the duty manager did an outstanding job of the last minute accommodation of our party of 15. Securing us a very nice location within the restaurant and a view of the open kitchen.
As like every meal I've enjoyed the food quality. This particular evening was on point! This was only amplified by the helpful staff and careful oversight of the restaurant management.
Again, it's easy to get a good meal at any of the restaurants inside of the ITC Grand Chennai this particular evening. It's worth noting the standout performance of all the servers involved as well as the incredible array of delicious dishes.
It is one of the expensive restaurant around (3.5k per person average), and the food, service and ambience does not match the cost. i have been there twice and will include both visits in the review
ambience :
nothing fancy about decor, it is just dull decor and seats are uncomfortable and table is just about right size.
service :
restaurant was at full capacity and it was difficult to get help. water refills were non existent and no one to help around. no one bothered to enquire anything during the meal. they are definitely understaffed.
food : (non-veg rating from family)
we had panner tikka (2/5), paneer kurchan (4/5), dal bhukara (3/5), sikandari raan (4/5), chicken malai tikka (5/5), tandoori pomfret (1/5), butter chicken (1/5).
meat and paneer were cooked to perfection but taste was an issue. panner tikka, pomfret, butter chicken were too bland and for the over hyped dal bhukara - let's just say I have had better versions elsewhere.
overall it is hyped up restaurant with none of food ambience and service matching the cost. nothing stands out, so you are not missing out anything if you haven't been here.
One of the place where I felt guilty of paying for the food plus the uncomfortable seats they offer for sitting. As we go to ITC, we expect a pretty decent food taste or even the comfort. It is said that it is a luxury hotel, it seems comfortable seats are not part of luxury!!?? Plus it felt like I am eating at some road side Restaurant. Extremely pathetic experience!! Never recommend anyone to go and pay exorbitantly for the tasteless food.
Was among my favourite dining joints in Chennai, especially for special occasions. There isn't a person I have not recommended this restaurant to, especially if they are looking for north indian food and / or dal makhani.
But these recent two visits have been way too mediocre. The service was dismal and delayed. While we got the breads and dal, our main course was comfortably forgotten.
Water refills took its own sweet time and beyond everything the dal makhani was not as good as I remember.
Quite an embarrassment when you take the extra efforts of selling the peshawari plan to your gang and pay quite a bomb!
Worst experience, food served were half cooked , huge delay in serving, we have to run behind the bartenders, no one cares.
Waste of money.
I have been there several times but overall experience then and now have deteriorated
Grand indeed! Palatial hotel, with different cuisine options. We tried the Peshawri restaurant, paneer was so soft and tasty.
Naan bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside, paired well with the curry.
Finished with a dessert
Outstanding service. Must try.
All the food items are so delicious and very tasty. To Start with Morning Tiffin all items and Lunch Menu are having different and superb taste. Night Dinner are in varities. We cannot find any grievance. No compromise in Quality. Prices are affordab
It was an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and kind in their service. Highly recommend the place for family lunch, kid friendly food and service. Pankaj and Deepak bhaiya was extremely polite, patient and did best service
Yesterday 9.30 P.M. this place was in my bucket list, Post prize distribution of our District football association visited for dinner.
Located in first floor, Owner was on her way to procurement of groceries for next day, Restaurant was empty since
Tandoori food has several variations all over India and all are good. But being a Punjabi, I've been brought up on certain rustic kebabs, daal and curries which are unfortunately difficult to find in Chennai.
Lo and behold - Copper chimney came as a
Went to Jamavar last night for Dinner. It was our team dinner, so it was a set menu.
I don't have to explain about the ambience, since this restaurant is in Leela palace and the place was just beautiful.
Coming to the food, I opted for the non-veg
Neelam Kitchen Restaurant has truly mastered the art of authentic Indian cuisine, and their Litti Chokha is an absolute revelation. This traditional dish from the heartland of Bihar has been elevated to new heights, creating an unforgettable dining e
This place is supposed to have a legacy since its been here for a long time but for some reason, it is alienated from the restaurant ecosystem. Decent food. The ambiance is old school and nostalgic!
Very good place to hang out and go for food. This place offers you a open place to have ur food and drinks also the ambience is warm and perfect for late night drive. Although the staff here were quite confusing and didn't communicate well and this l
Old man serving nice parathas probably in the ground floor of his house. Go there with a friend as you might have to wait for your order as he is 1 man army. Nice cold curd (raita sort of) with any of the 4 paratha varieties is delicious.
Perfect food specially for those who come from north India and faces language problem.
These guys speak in Hindi and know Tamil also.
Very cooperative guys..
Great work
Amazing designer who customise and tailors the pieces so well ! The work she does is completely handmade and the outcome is really perfect. The blouses fit me beautifully and there was no alterations required.
