aangkilttil elllutuvtrrku mnnnnnnikkvum. dt 27 - 07 - 23 After we checked in the hotel, we had a very short nap, then got up freshened up, had a cup of tea and took a wonderful bus journey to Masani Amman temple, but as we were boarding the bus in pollachi bus stand the bus driver stopped us from going to the temple, saying the temple is closed for the day since there has been a death in the surrounding area. So we changed our plans and decided to visit this temple. It was a struggle to reach this temple, from ukkadam bus stop, finally with no other go and time running out, we decided to take an auto to reach the temple. We have visited this temple some 25 years back i guess and we were so happy to visit it again. Still i remember from that visit as to how surprised i was to see the cow standing behind the shiva lingam, and was so happy to have that same feeling and wonderful aarthi darshan again of the lord. This time we were not in a rush rush mode, we took our time and went around slowly, recited our sivapuranam, enjoyed the wonderful architecture of the temple. A very good and peaceful temple that one must visit during their coimbatore trip. A very old temple which was built during chola Empire highlighting lord Shiva. The temple has a good car parking area just front to the temple entrance. The temple is neatly maintained and has many historical beliefs. A must visit temple ,it is recommended to get 20rs ticket for lord Shiva nearest viewing point. Best time to visit is before 10 am,after that it gets crowded.

Very old Sivan Temple. Locals come here to do after death rituals of their relatives and take a bath in the Noyyal River and thereafter visit the temple. This temple is considered a sacred place. Lord Patteswarar and Lordess Pachai Nayaki amman are the titles of God. Open between 6 am and 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8.30 pm. Free darshan and Rs.20 special/quick darshan are there. Will get an ancient atmosphere inside the temple. The design and architecture will definitely be enthused. There is a Thaer/car outside the temple. The temple has a large premise, and hence, outside noise will not come. Lots of shops are there. Can buy all pooja related items easily. There is no water flowing in Noyyal River as of now.
