I didn't see any tigers, just a few birds and deer. The forest guard on the boat was really funny. you should visit in the summer in the morning to witness tigers

Very good place well maintained by the government. Periyar National Park tickets are available here, long queue on weekends but tickets are available in weekdays. But I will recommend online booking option to avoid long queues. Place is beautiful mostly the jungle safary via big Boats that will take deep into the jungles. Mostly deer and birds are seen but other animals can be seen if lucky. I recommend this place to visit and enjoy scenic beauty.

We stood in the queue for buying tickets from 6.30 they opened by 7 am and issuing tickets... If you want to buy tickets for first trip then you need to be parking by 6 am... Need to buy tickets for parking car, bus and still camera which us additional. Boating ticket cost 255 rupees

Great experience. Charges are 255/- per person (adult) for boat ride (1.5 hours) The bus charges to arrive till this point are 45/- per person. The boat ride is 1.5 hours long in the Periyar lake, and I'd recommend renting the binoculars or bringing your own pair. Also, the animal sightings are very rare, but the experience of boating deep in wild forest is thrilling and good.

Advisable place for staying for family. Rooms are very ancient and decorative. Room backside we can see forest animals, if you are lucky. Best Hospitality, 24 hrs hot water facility, Room rent 2000/- Swimming pool, Gym, Restaurant, Free wifi, Car parking. Negative points, Bed sheets needs to be washable.

God's own Country.. The Periyar National Park is a must visit if you are in Kerela.. The view is breathtaking.. You may be lucky to see wild animals.. The ferry is well maintained.
