Nice place to hangout with friends on weekend around Trivandrum. Ample parking space available. No entry fees. Only need to add your name and contact address in the office register. First reach Vithura KPSM junction and use Vithura - Peppara dam road. Better to avoid other shorter routes in google maps.

Good road through forest area. Enough parking space... vistors must take umbrella on sunny days... snacks items are available at the shop near the entry gate. you can easily spend 1hr over there.. dam view is awesome.. dam hut is slighty damged... if the clouds are not so heavy you can see the famous Agasthyarkoodam hills from the dam.

Named after the Peppara dam, the wildlife sanctuary is spread across an area of 75 sq. kms, and is covered with evergreen forests, freshwater swamps, hills and valleys. The thick forest of Peppara houses a rich variety of animals including elephants, sambar deer and lion tailed macaque. With the rich flora and fauna, and the rocky terrain, Peppara is truly a haven for the nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

A good place for an outing with family and friends, the road that leads to the dam offers great scenery on either sides and the good thing is that the entry to the dam is totally free the only thing you have to do is write your name and address in the visitors log book kept at the entrance and you are good to go

Heaven for nature lovers. Not much to do here except for exploring inner forest regions . I really loved the vibe spent 5 days exploring the inner regions by foot.
