Pentagon Lighthouse , Valiyazheekkal - Tourist attraction in Valiazheekal - Alappuzha, India

Spectacular views from here. A must visit. Sunsets from here are just WOW . You can get a great view of the beach, the breakwater and the bridge. Few points:- deg You have to take tickets there. The timing I believe is around 1000 hrs to 1800 hr. deg The weekends would be crowded and particularly in the evening hours. degThere are stairs as well as lifts available. deg Avoid loose clothing like dupatta etc as evenings tend to get strong winds, which might cause you unnecessary inconvenience. deg Don't try to climb the restricted areas as it could be highly dangerous. deg There is a public washroom and locker facility. If you are planning to visit the beach, you should definitely take this experience.

During my recent visit to the lighthouse, I was delighted by the experience. The ambiance was simply wonderful, creating a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. I went on a weekend, and there was no rush, allowing me to enjoy the calm and refreshing view. If you're looking for a tranquil spot with a beautiful view, this lighthouse is a must-visit!

This Pentagon Lighthouse is a coastal gem. Its unique five-sided design makes it stand out along the shoreline. From the top, the views of the sea and surrounding landscape are simply breathtaking. It's really amazing! NB: a bit overcrowded in weekends and public holidays.

Kids will enjoy and evening visit will be preferable. During weekend and public holiday little bit busy. Private Paid parking is available but little bit costly. Entry fee is 10 rs for adults and less than 5 years free

India's first pentagon-shaped lighthouse and the second tallest in Kerala. The lighthouse, a 41.26-metre-tall reinforced cement concrete tower with an elevator, was constructed at Rs. 8.49 crores in 1,830 square metres. Powered by solar energy, it has an LED marine lantern, with a luminous range of 24 nautical miles. PS: Use elevator if you could not handle more than 250 steps... visiting time ends around 6.00 PM

It's not a very tall tower like other light house we see. And also the building architecture is not soo conventional, that is usually we see round ( cylindrical) shaped light house. Here it's square shaped. So the advantages are climbing stairs in straight line are easy compared to spiral! And also safe for old people and people with difficulty! There's a lift inside but people saying it's not working!

Nice view. Heavily crowds during weekends. Beach access nearby. Many shacks for having snacks. Paid parking nearby. The view of the sunset is so mesmerizing. You have the option of either taking the lift or the stairs to go up/down the lighthouse.

We can see whole azheekal when we are at the top of this lighthouse.And it was a nice experience been there.Highly recommendable for families,friends,lovers etc..
