What sets this place apart is the journey through it during the monsoons. sometimes you can see elephants on road sides. a must visit place in thrissur.

Good place for adventure , at peechi there a new cycling program 300rs per head , u should pre book. At the entrance there will be a checking. People who have booked can enter.

It is a very calm and quiet place for enjoy a day with family and friends. Must carry some food because there is not much hotels or restaurants for getting good foods(*except some street food and ice-cream). Good place for walking and exploring the forest. It was a very nice moments with my friends.
Scenic spot.. well maintained park.. beautiful construction of dam...easy to reach.. good to go even in a hot climate.. shadey trees.. rockgarden is also there.. swimming pool is also available.. rest rooms are well maintained..
You can enjoy a half day trip to Vazhani dam is you are in and around Thrissur. The dam and reservoir are not too big but is worth watching. A reasonably good garden is well maintained near the dam. There is a moderate entrance fee for visitors and cameras. Luckily they have maintained the toilets well. A food court is also available inside.
The dense tropical forests of Chimmini (Chimmony). Chimmini is only a two-hour drive from Kochi. The sanctuary is endowed with scenic beauty beyond compare. Living here in joyful abandon are elephants, sambars, gaurs, Malabar squirrels, sloth bears etc.
