Peb Fort (Vikatgad) Trek Base Point - Tourist attraction in Neral - Raigad, India

I had an incredible experience visiting Vikatgad, also known as Peb fort, in Neral. Our journey began with the scenic Sinhgad Express from Pune to Karjat, followed by a Mumbai local train ride to Neral station. The train journey itself offered breathtaking views that felt like a glimpse of heaven. Upon reaching Neral station, we embarked on a 3-4 km trek to the fort, and it was nothing short of amazing. The trek rewarded us with awe-inspiring vistas that etched unforgettable memories in our minds. Reaching the fort's summit, we discovered a serene temple surrounded by breathtaking valley views in every direction. To add to the adventure, the heavens opened up, and we experienced the magic of heavy rainfall amidst this natural beauty. As we began our descent via an alternate route, we found ourselves on the enchanting Matheran toy train track, offering photogenic views that left us in awe. Strolling along the track, we eventually reached the main road of Neral. Vikatgad was a true gem, offering an unforgettable blend of nature, adventure, and spirituality. The journey from Pune and the trek itself were filled with mesmerizing moments. If you're seeking a memorable escape into nature's embrace, Vikatgad is a must-visit destination.

A great point for adventurers and trekkers. There are two ways to reach at top. 1. From Anandwadi village, where it takes about 3 to 3.5 hours to reach the top. Though it gets quite difficult as you go higher, so this route is not recommended for beginners. You can reach Anandwadi by Auto/Cab from Neral station which costs about Rs.50 to 100 per head. 2. From Matheran entrance point, you can pay the entrance fees and reach the top in about 1 to 2 hours. Overall had a great and thrilling experience and would definitely recommend to trekkers.

Enjoying too much due to its greenery and mountain range also enjoy waterfalls and climbing hiking trekking and there is natural structures, it is medium track but I make it it's harder due to my faults.

Such a lovely place to trek in monsoon this place has a different vibe................. If you are planning to visit here then avoid weekends, these days people are going in groups, so avoid weekends.................. We enjoyed doing this trek......... Do visit here with your family and friends........... Trek is easy to do............

Yeahhh place of enjoying trekking and one to one with nature for track it's was awesome place

via fanaswadi peb trek is hard for new trekkers, if want thrilling experience then you can go via fanaswadi->peb fort->Matheran, It is difficult especially for girls because there are big stones and you need to climb them. I saw many girls crying at the top because they couldn't climb. if you want easy trek then you can go by matheran. it's easier way than jungle trek.
