Peakaavu Cottages - Hotel in Ramakkalmedu - Idukki, India

I recently had the privilege of staying at this remarkable hotel and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The world-class mountain view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, making every moment spent in the hotel a true delight. The room was not only clean, but also incredibly comfortable, allowing me to relax and unwind in style. But what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by Joel and the cooking master. Their attentiveness and dedication to ensuring a wonderful stay were truly commendable. From the warm hospitality to the culinary delights prepared by the cooking master, every aspect of my stay was simply outstanding. I can't recommend this hotel enough to anyone seeking an awesome experience in a stunning location. If you're looking for a getaway that combines breathtaking scenery, clean and comfortable accommodations, and top-notch service, this hotel is the perfect choice.

I went for a relaxed vacation and also required a custom menu to suite myself and my family. The treatment was awesome! It was more of a family getting together. I did not feel like leaving the resort with a beautiful view always available. It is a hilly region and there are few areas to visit according to your liking. I did stay back to enjoy the view at the resort itself

One of the highlights of my stay was the outdoor space. The cottage had a lovely patio area that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The surrounding gardens were beautifully maintained and added to the overall ambiance of the property.

The staffs were good but the owner was insolent. Two weeks ago 2 cottages were booked for 2 families that included 4 elderly people, 3 others and 2 children. We checked in the afternoon for a proper rest after a very long travel but the rooms were very uncomfortable due to the heat inside, each room has a large glass to enhance the ambience but not a good option during summers as the glass traps more heat. More over the rooms cannot be kept open as the light attracts mupli bugs. No toiletries were available, the bath towels were stained, No hand wash too. We couldn't continue the next day so decided to move out and informed the owner which to our surprise he responded by demanding money for 2 days without even asking how our stay was or how could he improve. And when we expressed the soreness in stay he started throwing false allegations on us. We went to have a pleasant memorable vacation but coming here ruined everything.

We stayed at this place for a Night and had the worst experience.The bathrooms were not clean ,the basic toiletries and tissues were not provided.Searching for the shampoos and dental kit we opened the cabinets to find it very dirty as in the picture below,the shower curtains were also stained and dirty,there were also snails in the bathroom.We expected the temperature to be low as the owner had informed.Above all we were disappointed by the owners behaviour towards one of our members when she requested for the cancellation of room booking for the next day because of the unbearable heat. Whatever be the situation they should learn to treat custumers politely and appropriately, We are people who travel a lot but we never had such an experience. People who are looking for stay options please make sure about the place and facilities.

The cottage was awesome room's, and the toilet was clean & and tidy. location was at peak & nature viewing available from the room's. Food was tasty and hygienic, service was excellent. In another 2 months time they would have swimming pool. Altogether stay was relaxing and peaceful

Peakaavu cottages is located in a serene locality, overlooking one of the most spectacular views. The cottage is spacious, giving homely vibes. The staff are extremely warm hosts. They're always on their toes willing to go the extra mile so that the guests receive the best hospitality. The cottage is clean and neat by the end of the day after we return from our sight seeing. Highly recommended stay, if someone's keen on visiting idukki.
