Pavana Narasimha Swamy Temple - Hindu temple in Ahobilam - Kurnool, India

This temple is located in the back side of Garuda hill.the ride of hill to 25 km.The Jeep ride through the forest was bumpy. Small old temple but "Narasimha and Lakshmi Devi" who are residing here are "powerful"

Pavana Narasimha Swamy Temple is one of the nine Narasimha temples of Ahobilam in Andhra Pradesh. The name derives from the fact that this temple is on the banks of the Pavana river. The hills in the background represent the wings of Bhagawan Garuda, the vahana (holy vehicle or transport) of Lord Vishnu. The journey is arduous however the tranquility of the temple is unbelievable. Please visit and get the blessings of the Lord for you and your family.

This is first time I visited the temple on 08/04/2023. Here's I'm sharing my experiences. "Pavana Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple" is one of the "Nava Narasimha Kshetras" located in the dense nallamala forest of Ahobilam. This temple is also known as "Pamuleti Narasimha Swamy" Temple. It's 7 KM away from "Yeguva Ahobilam" Temple. We can reach this temple by road or by walking/ trekking through toughest rocky path in dense forest. Walk/Trek path is starts from back side of Yeguva Ahobilam Temple. First we need to climb 800 steps, after that rocky path is started. This trip is really thrilling and adventurous. Be careful while going through this road. Never plan after 5pm because sometimes wild animals roaming. Every Saturday's special Pooja done here. People offer Non-Veg to this god. A lot of people visits this temple on "Swathi Nakshatra" occurred in every month and believes that their wishes are come true. Note: Drinking water and food are not available along the path. So must carry your own.

Such a aspecious place in farest area ,it's near to shobanam ,even way is very terrific way here it's totally , hills road , stones road, it's only open some special vacation time , remaining time even open but not available facilities that time

Excellent darshan at a place deep inside the jungle. One can have darshan of Swayambhu Lakshminarasimha swamy, a shreechakra and a very big Shaligram. The temple is surrounded by hills. It was a very thrilling experience reaching the temple by bike on a rainy day. Almost 20 km driving on a muddy road.
